Hi try to reset ur camera...To do such reset, turn on the camera and hold the menu button down for longer than 5 seconds. A message should hopefully come up on your LCD asking if you want to reset the camera. Select Yes....

My kodak m341 won't turn on......when you press the on button, the lens comes out, then goes staight back in. The screen comes on for a split second when the lens comes out. that is all it will...

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

Problem with my kodak easyshare m893is

That actually sounds like normal operation. The screen is set to automatically power down to save the battery. This can usually be adjusted in the setup menu to stay on for a specified time or constantly. When it powers down, a press of any button usually brings it back on.

The lens comes out then the camera turns off

Your camera has it own doctor built in, if it sees an internal error it will shut down. When a camera turns on it goes through a series of tests, if one of these test fails your camera records an error. If the lens is moving in and out your camera is trying to get the lens to function. As such you have a faulty camera.

Camera goes off

I may be able to help with your Kodak EasyShare Z740 that turns itself off.

It may be a 'lens extending' problem, or it might be fixed with a combination of button presses to reset it while turning it on.

Try these steps to fix your camera.

I hope that helps.

Camera wont stay on, please help

Possible that the Lens Mechanism is out of sync. If its still within warranty just bring it in and have it serviced. If not I may be able to help you out but it requires dismantling the camera,..

If any one knows a quicker and easier way maybe they can post it here But as far as experience goes thats what happened with mine,

Hope this helps
