I have an iphone 3g v2.2.1 with modem firmware 02.30.03 I do alot of travelling and want to be able to use any sim from another countries network to avoid roaming charges. Is there any way to get a sim unlock,either a code or software unlock? Ive used the hardware rebel sims but find that they are not reliable 100% of the time. What can i do???? Sorry bro.. as of now, there are no known software unlock tool out of the market. Right now, there's only two ways to unlock your phone. 1st one is to use the rebel sim like what you did. The second one is to have your phone legally unlocked by the provider which will probably cost you alot...
Do not trust websites that offer unlocking of your iphone 3g because these websites are probably fake and they only want to steal your money.
The only iphone that can be unlocked by software is the iPhone 2g (1st gen iphone)
