Yes you will, you will have to find an un assigned channel and get the tv to fine tune it in.

Could have a bad cable. If its a coaxial cable, it should display over channel 3 or 4. Check you TV settings, might need to change the broadcast option(Digital/Analog). Or get an rca cord(red/white/yellow connectors) if your TV takes composite/component inputs. Good luck.

I have sound but no video

Maybe you connected them to the wrong ones. Make sure it is yellow to yellow, red to red, and white to white.

It could be that the connector is old or your TV. Try it on a different TV. If it is still the same, buy a new connector.

Good luck.

Hi, I'm having a bit of trouble setting up our hard drive and playstation 3 up to the plasma as the cords are yellow, red and white but on the back of the plasma they have red white red blue and green and...

The red whit and yellow connectors are for the Component connectors, your cable is for Composite connection - incompatible one to each other.
Your tv also has that yellow red and white connectors somewhere on it - probably on the side. Plug the cable there and respect the color coding or it will not work.

My nintendo 64 channel is not 3/4 ----what is it then?

Are you using the a/v cable from the N64 to the tv? The red and yellow cables?

If so then you need to change your TV to one of the video channels like video 1, video 2, video 3, it would depend on what input you have your N64 hooked up to. if your using an rf connector then make sure you are using channel 3 and you might have to make sure on the rf connector that its also set to 3.

How do I connect a Nintendo 64 games system to a Hitachi TV?

Hi kdg 1026,
The wire from the Nintendo should have 3 plugs on the end. Yellow, Whit and Red.
OPn the baqck of the TV you have inputs that are color coded, Yellow, White and Red.
Plug the wires into the color coded inputs.
Turn on Nintendo. Press input button on your TV remote until you get the picture.
Let me know if this helps.

New, second hand Nintendo 64

claudia,

Not sure what you're actually connecting. First, if you have a switch unit, the antenna or your regular cable go into one side and the game in the other...it connects to the TV. If that's not what's going on...you've got to fix that up. Your local electronics store or Radio Shack can help with the right one. Most units use channels 2, 3 or 4 as set on the tv...not a cable box. There may be a small switch with some of those numbers located on the bottom of the unit so that you can switch to a channel not used for broadcast in your area.
