How to resize picture on a magnavox mwc20t6

Look for a setting called Aspect Ratio. It will include options like 4:3, 16:9, Zoom 1, and Zoom 2. Then click through the options to select the correct one for your program. Usually older SD programs will use either 4:3 or Zoom 1, while HD programs will be set to 16x9 for Widescreen hi-def viewing. There should be a button on your remote labelled Aspect Ratio or Picture that can toggle through these image modes.

Zenith concierge tv channel display won't turn off

Before you do the following, make sure you know the code that is programmed currently in the remote since everything else works,
Try reprogramming your universal remote with one of these codes 10178, 11265, 10016, 11911, 10145, 10092, 10030, 10000, 11365, 11909, 10047, 10146, 10160, 10463, 11904, 10451
...One of these may allow you to access your display options. OR do you have a menu button on the front of your tv? you could possibly access the display options from there instead.

Hi my TV has a picture of a padlock and i cant unlock it tried to use remote it wont work it is a magnavox 29inch

For unlocking you tv you have to reset its v-chip. Do the following for the same.

Philips sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for Philip sets is 0711, although it may say "Incorrect code" the first time to trick you. If "Incorrect code" is displayed, simply enter 0711 again. To use it hit the MENU key to get to the menus. Go up or down until you reach AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK, depending on the model, and push the "right arrow" key on the remote. Enter the override code, and enter it a second time if it says it is incorrect.
Once in the AUTOLOCK or SMARTLOCK menu, go to BLOCK, and push the "right arrow" key. Go to BLOCKING OPTIONS and press the "right arrow" key. Go to MASTER DISABLE and press the "right arrow" key so that it says "MASTER DISABLE ON". The v-chip is now reset.

I doo not have the origanal control for my philips tv... I have a dish universal remote!!! And it does not give me the option for cc off!!! Help me plz its driving me crazy

That is a problem, the original remote is needed for all options, you could go to the nearest TV repair shop to see if they might have good used one for your model. Some tv tech's keep a large box of remotes for that purpose. The only other option is contact the company for a new remote if they are still available.

I can't re-tune my freeview tv set. My dog ate my oringinal remote control and the replacement (a ONE FOR ALL remote) won't show up digital menu options

Have a look on the web, there are many sites out there that will have replacment remotes in stock for your Philips.

One-for-all remotes only offer the most basic functions.

When you do get a new remote, keep it away from the dog (:-)

Universal Remote not working

With nearly all brands of universal remote control, there is usually more than one code for Philips. Keep going through the codes until you find one that works correctly.

So if you know that the 1st code doesn't work, then don't save it, and move to the next.

You may find that several codes will actually put the TV into standby, but other functions will be different.

Geometry settings all wrong

I wish I could help you but you will more than likely have to take your set to an authorized service center. Philips doesn't like to send service manuals to anyone except their service centers. Stargazer
