If water penetrated inside the LCD display , then the display must be replaced. Moreover, the liquid may have shorted some component , and in that case there is more repair job to be done.

All you can do is removing external covers if possible, and drying the phone a little longer If the phone does not come up after one week, then repair or replace it.

What do you do if your Tracfone gets wet

If it's only on the outside, I'd just wipe it clean.
If it's worse I'd immediately remove the battery, wipe everything down with a towel, and let it dry completely. I'm in a dry location so letting it sit overnight would do it; if you're in a humid environment you might want to put it in a bowl of uncooked rice to absorb the water.

Only after it's completely dry would I put the battery back in and see if it works. If it does, great. If not, then it's time to consider getting a new phone. It's all a matter of how much water got into it and for how long.

The above is for fresh water. If the phone got immersed in salt water, I'd remove the battery, wipe the phone dry, quickly rinse it in fresh water, wipe it dry again, and let it dry completely.

My nokia e7 fell into water and won't turn on

Wet Cell Phone
Immediately remove the phone from the water, turn off the cell phone, remove the battery and SIM card. To dry out the cell phone put it in a large plastic bag with silica gel drying crystals then put it in a warm sunny place for several days or in front of a warm fan heater for several hours. Reassemble the phone and hope it will work properly again, but if does not work then it is faulty and you need a new cell phone.

What to do if the celfone is soaked in water?

immediately take out the battery and clean the phone and try to soak as much water as you can.
tip: take an air tight container and fill it with raw rice and place ur phone in the container filled with rice adn cover it and leave for 3-4 days. if u r lucky, u may get back ur phone :)
reason: the rice actually absorb moisture. :P

If your phone has fell into water or it got wet somehow, whatever happens do not try to switch on the phone.
Immediately try to remove the battery from the phone as any current source will cause a short circuit. Do not use a hair blower or that kind of stuff to dry the as it will push the water droplets further deep into the phone. Use a soft cotton towel to wipe the phone clean and put it the sunlight or inside a bowl of rice for some days to absorb the moisture. Remember do not switch on the phone untill the phone is completely dry. Water logged phones do not have warranty. Good Luck

Water was poured on the keyboard. Battery was removed immediately and wiped dry as was the keyboard. Keyboard was placed under the fan upside down for approximately 2hrs after which battery was replaced...

First thing is to not try powering the laptop on after the water fell on it. Next, you should remove the battery off the laptop immediately. When this is done, you should fully disassemble the laptop & thoroughly inspect its inside. Look for any traces of water on the circuit boards & on other components. On circuit boards, water damage appears in the form of whitish traces. These needs to be wiped off. This can be done using a tooth brush moistened with few drops of hand sanitizer liquid.
Check all internal connectors & make sure that no water seeped into them. Dry them if needed.
When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.
If the water fell on the keyboard & you found out that the keyboard is no longer working, then you will have to replace the keyboard.

Dropped my Sanyo Katana cell in a cup of soda!!

probably too late but he first thing to don in that sit. is rinse the phone in a 75/25 solution of alcohol and water. then open up as you did and let it dry. if you can see water on the display screen your probably out of luck but keep it warm and dry for a few days and see what happens.

Phone fell in cooking oil

Isopropal alcahol will clean the electronics, but watchout for two things. Drugstor Isopropal contains a lot of water. The purer the better, but test it on the plastic, a touch in the corner of the screen to be shur it does not fog the display. Besure to remove the batteries first. I would dry it with compressed air rather than the hair dryer. A can of DUST OFF can be found at most computer shops,Radio Shack and Art supply houses. If all else fails, put it back in the oil(without battery), bring the oil gradually up to about 92 degrees, simmer for about 3 days. then add a few of your favorite spices and a couple of tablespoons of sugar since fried electronics tend to be a bit bitter. If you do not like it then send it to the recycling center
