Question about Car Audio & Video
When putting my 821 Eonon touch screen car stereo in the new car, which I did have working but forgot to put the parking brake wire & wire it with the earth wire so I can watch video anytime I want so pulled it back out to see one of the wires touch another wire & create a spark ( I know I should have tapped them up but was seeing if it was working). This has happened a few times b4 but fixed it by hitting the reset button on the stereo but this time it has not worked, I have checked the fuses & they are fine & have checked the wires to make sure they are fine, which they are so it has to be the stereo itself, there is no burns or there wasnt any smell of anything burning when it happened. I have had a quick look inside the stereo to see if there was a fuse in the stereo but couldnt see one. A friend said I could take it to a shop to see if they can fix it but they are not cheap. Anyone know of a way to fix it
You could just try disconnecting power overnight and see if it resets then. sometimes pushing reset doesn't always completely clear the memory.
