Question about Canon imageRUNNER 5000 Copier
Does anybody know the keypad sequence to get into the engineers console?
I have to ir5000 in different locations in the building. One is jamming all the time and I'd like to see the humidity readings.
The correct procedure to enter engineer mode is additional functions (head with a star in, to the left of the number 7 key) 2 and 8 at the same time...then the head with the start again.
Hope this helps.

I'm sorry but flopez is wrong about getting to service mode. Press the additional function key, the 2 & 8 keys at the same time, and then the additional function key again. Select copier, then display, then analog. You should see, I believe, 3 readings. HUM is what you want. But flopez is correct - if the paper curls alot after a copy then the paper is too damp.

You do not need humidity readings. If the copied paper curls at the edges as soon as it comes out of the unit, the paper (not the copier) is humid. Besides, there are no humidity sensors on the copier. There is a humidity switch to reduce humidity, but no sensors to notify any levels.
Anyway, the code is: 5,8 (simultaneously) - ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS - 5,8 (simultaneously) - ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS.
