I-mate k-jam wont charge

you cannot charge the i-mate unless you have it turned on
another way which worked for me is to buy a battery dock or a seperate
battery charger

battery checked and replaced with new one, still same.

this has happened to me both times, but dont worry it is easy to fix. all you need to do is put enough charge in the battry to get it to turn on, even if its only for a second.

to do this, find an old phone charger or something similar, one that you no longe use. check that the output is 3.7volts dc. cut the end adapter off, and strimm the two wires back. IMPORTANT, USE A METER TO CHECK WHICH IS POSOTIVE AND WHICH IS NEGATIVE, mark the posotive with tape so you dont loose it.

take the battery out of the phone and plug your stripped down charger in. now simply touch the posotive wire to the posotie terminal on the battery, and the negative wire on the negative terminal. hold them there for arround 5 minits, and that should give it enough charge to turn the phone on long enough for you to plug it in. at this point the lights will turn on and the phone will be back to normal

to stop this from happening again, simply dont let your battery run totaly flat, if the warning comes up turn your phone off untill you can charge it
