You may need to reinstall Windows. If you had a virus and you think this is what caused the damage. You would have to save everything on your drive you want to save then reinstall Windows. It's the only way to make sure that Windows will work the right way if the virus did any damage to it.

Hi there
Go to www.safer-networking.org and donwload Spybot Search & Destroy 1.6.2, and resart your computer, start up in Safe-Mode, scan your pc and remove any spyware infections, you can also donwload malware-bytes, just search for it in google. good luck , see if that helps you

I would firstly recommend sticking to the well known antivirus programs. Many of the free ones off the net are viruses themselves. I would suggest trying to boot into XP's safe mode and seeing if you can uninstall your latest antivirus program.

Ok try this first. Hover your mouse in monitor screen, right click, select arrange icons by, then check marked Show Desktop Icon.
Then
hover your mouse on the bottom most of your monitor. It should pop up
the Task Bar. In pop up task bar right click, select Properties then
uncheck Auto Hide Task Bar.
Then post again some message to update us if this works.
I post it in wrong location.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!
