I couln't open any of the applications by clicking th trackball

Firstly switch on th bluetooth on both th devices..
nw pair the bluetooth of th phone wth ur laptop.. Nw transfer files to ur laptop frm ur phne.. :D

type a code *2767*3855# to reset settins ur problem will definitely solve

back your phone up and reflash the software ...you can wipe the s/ware using jl commander

the trackball can get dust and particals in the runners, if you have a star driver you can undo the phone, gently pop it apart then pop the silver plate connectors for the keypad, screen and trackball there should be a wire coming from the mouthpiece to the top right gently disconnect the top this will allow you to open the rear of the keypad and roller ball, where the rollerball meets the motherboard gently clean this with a cotton bud, do the same with where the keys meet the white sensors
Pop every thing back reverse order and the rollerball should work, if not it will need to be tested by an engineer as it will be a connection problem, hope this helps

Trackball doesn't work if you have not selected the sensitivity. To select the sensitivity, kindly follow the steps: 1. Select menu. 2. Select option. 3. Select screen/key board. 4. Scroll down to find horizontal and verticle 5. Select horizontal-100 and verticle-100.

You might have one of three things wrong with your blackberry 1. something is stuck down there like a peice of plastic causing the button to seem like its being pressed all the time or 2. there could be water damage in there thats if you bring your phone into the bathroom with you while taking showers humidity is like cancer to phones it might not show up right away but it can happen 3. someone might of pushed the trackball so hard that it dented the button in this case i would take it in to get repaired. If it is one of the other two it should be an easy fix you can check for either one of these problems underneath the trackball by removing the ring that is around the trackball you can do this by carefully prying around it off then you should be able to drop the trackball itself right out of the phone aswell as any thing stuck in there or if there is water damage or any water down there I suggest you turn the phone off as soon as possible to prevent any further damage then I would just leave the phone in a nice dry place to get rid of the water then the trackball should work again same thing goes for removing anything that might be stuck down there after that is all done with you should be able to reassemble it remember the ring around the trackball only goes in one way so do force it or you risk breaking it.

As you use the trackball on your Blackberry, dirt and oils on your fingers get into the trackball assembly.
You might get some 'traction' on your track ball if you lightly dip a cotton swab in some rubbing alcohol. Swab the trackball, then do a quarter turn, continue until you cover the whole trackball in each direction.
If you get no improvement, then its another defective trackball, and you'll have to return it where you got it; most companies warranty phones 90 days from the date it was replaced.

press both the soft keys to hard reset while switching it on

you need to take the phone to a mobile service center and have the trackball service the pins could have alot of dust and dirt on them.
