Question about Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra MP3 Player
I dropped my player now when it boots up it offers me four options
1. Clean Up
2. Format All
3. Reload OS
I have tried all of the options but it just comes up with hard disk error. I know i will have to take it apart to fix it but don't know what to do once it is opened. Are there any cheap repair websites out there or even a chance I would be able to do it myself, which i doubt.
I had this same problem twice with mine, and it means that the hard drive pin is out of place. If you hit it with your hand or against the table on the bottom, it will get the pin back in place. It sounds a little scary to hit it against a table, but it worked for me twice. Hope that helps.

First of all, a hard drive is not cheap. Having said that, yes there are repair services that can help. Scroll down on this page to the Repair Services box, put in your zip code, and a few repair services for MP3 players comes up. See which ones do Zen Xtra repairs, and what the prices are. Good luck!
