Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

HP printer cannot find access point and I'm not sure what to do.

Hi, I'm just bought an HP Officejet 6500 Wireless printer and I'm having wireless problems. The Wireless Network Test Report tha I printed out says the following: Your HP printer cannot find your access point. Check that your access point is powered on. Check that your HP printer network name (SSID) matches your access point network name (SSID) exactly. If they don't match exactly run the wireless network setup to configure your HP printer. The computer's SSID is linksys, but I can't find my printer's SSID or where to change it.

You must first connect your printer to the pc using usb cable, then run installation wizard that is on the CD that came with the printer.

Wizard will guide you through the setup orcess where you will provider your routers ssid (linksys) to your printer, and your printer will use that ssid to connect to your router.

After the Wizard setup is done, it will tell you to disconnect the usb cable and only then your printer will work on wireless.

Good luck,
Milan

Officejet 6500 wireless has stopped printing ALL color.

Send the cartridges back! HP cartridges are coded and will only work with HP printers. Hp has had problems with their coded cartridges. Especially if they were manufactured overseas. Their own product won't recognize the cartridges. It is not the printer it is the cartridges.

I have a hp 6500 officejet wireless printer that i jut put in new ink cartridge and all it does is print blank pages?

This happens as the ink needs some time to saturate the system. Usually one needs to print quite a few pages for the ink to flow through and get to the ink head. A better quicker way is to clean the ink heads with the aid of the software that came with your printer.

Navigate to your windows control panel and double click printers and faxes. Then right click on your HP Officejet 6500 printer and select properties. Then click the Print test page button. Check the manual for cleaning the ink head.

Take care!
