Re: psp password

The security settings in your psp contains a 4 digit code which means there are 10000 different codes (including 0000) reformatting wont work so just guest what code it is in the 10000 combination or ask the sony company or the repairman.

Does any one no how to unbloke a PSP? Forgot password an now has blocked me out? Thanks

All you have to do is, restore your PSP to the factory settings.

Try this:
1. Pull out your memory stick (MS) (do this, unless you also want to clear your MS.)
2. Go to settings> System Settings> Factory reset.
3. After the PSP restarted, you have your password set to 0000

Hope that will help =]

Forgot password

in order to get rid of the password, you must first go to the "Settings" icon all the way on the left.

than scroll through that menu until you find the "System Settings" button.

Than scroll through that menu until you find the "Restore Default Settings" button. If you click on that, your password will disappear and you can type in a new one.

After you reset the PSP, you will have to type in the date, timezone, time, and PSP name all over again.

If there is still a password on the PSP after you reset it, it should be 0000. Be sure to change it to something you remember =]

Well good luck. I hope i helped. If not, let me know.

You need to reset your PSP.
Note: You WILL LOSE ALL SETTINGS. I recommend writing down all of your settings before reseting.

Reset PSP:
  • go to "settings", then "System Settings"
  • scroll to "Restore Default Settings"
2 Messages will ask you if you want to continue. click yes to both.
Every thing will be reset, including the password.
Note: This will not erase your data on the Memory Stick.

Now the password will be reset to "0000"
