The router ports autosense the speed of the device that you are connecting to it. If your xbox is set to run 100 mb the ports will run 100, if the xbox is set for 10 then thats what it will run. Test the speed of your internet connection with a wired pc and then test directly into your modem and see what speeds that you get. You can test your speed here:

Why is my online play sputtering

With the limited information you have given me, I do believe it is because you're having connection issues, probably due to something downloading, or your connection is just plain being overused while you play.
Some ways to solve this can be to stop any downloading while playing, check all your computers and see if any torrenting programs are running.

Another is to open your ports on your router, and to initiate UPNP (universal plug and play).
From the official Xbox 360 Port Forwarding help center:
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live/connecting/network-ports-used-xbox-live

Xbox Live requires the following ports to be open:
  • Port 88 (UDP)
  • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 80 (TCP)
Note If you cannot chat with someone using Video Kinect, you might need to open port 1863 (UDP and TCP).

The link also contains information on how to find out who manufactures your router, which you will need to know in order to find the proper way to change the settings.

I got the new xbox 360 but I got the 4 gb and I'm out of memory where can I buy a hard drive and where do I plug it in?

You can get a hard drive for the new Xbox from most local superstores or video game stores, or order it online from here.

To put it in, you find the little hatch at the bottom vent of your Xbox, open it, and put the hard drive in the little port inside.

I have a P-660HW-D1 v2 zyxel router but on our Xbox the NAT is always strict. I've looked at a few online guides and everyone says to go to UPnP and click all the boxes. Well I did that and still no open...

follow this guide
http://howto.wired.com/wiki/Set_Up_Port_Forwarding_on_Your_Xbox_360
setup your xbox with a static ip address.
setup your router with the following ports forward to the ip address you gave your xbox
Since you've already assigned a specific address to your Xbox, you can now open up the individual ports of this address. According to Microsoft, the ports that require forwarding are UDP 88, UDP 3074, and TCP 3074. If your router requests a range, just be sure that the numbers entered span this range (i.e., 87-89 for the first port, 3073-3075 for the second, and so on).

Need to know how to change the nat setting off of strick on my virginmobile mifi2200 to play xbox 360

You need to go into the port forwarding section in your administrator settings, you should be able to access that by going to 192.168.1.1 and finding the port forwarding section, you then must forward the ports that the Xbox 360 requires to go online;
Xbox LIVE requires the following ports to be open:
  • Port 88 (UDP)
  • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 80 (TCP)

I have 2 xboxs and each work fine on the slow speed enternet alone i upgraded 8 times faster to put both on at same time now i have more lag and enteruptions then ever my xbox tells me to open my nat and...

It seems that there is an issue with traffic congestion here. Try connecting at different times of the day to see if that helps. Also it wouldn't hurt to upgrade your internet package if you can afford it.
About the NAT: The Xbox should run just fine without NAT being open, but it wouldn't hurt to open them.
Depending on the router there are different ways of setting it up, but if you have default settings, you should be able to go into the router and change some settings to make it run more efficiently.
Basing off that router that you suggested the issue is with, Assuming you have default settings, go to 192.168.1.1 on a computer connected through the router (Through one of the ethernet ports) and login with either "1234" as the username and "admin" as the password (no quotes) or a blank username and password "admin"
Then follow these steps on this website, but do not change port 80. http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/BEFDSR41W/Xbox_Live_360.htm

Ive seen videos online about pluging your xbox into your lap top. the problem is that my internet is secured and when i plug my xbox into my laptop, and i try connecting with my xbox it says connection...

(Hopefully you are running Windows 7 for this advice. Let me know otherwise.)
1. You should be able to click Start, type "view network connections", hit enter. 2. Right-click your wireless connection and hit 'Properties'. 3. Click the sharing tab and then 'Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection'. 4. Click OK and try again.
You may need to also plug in your computers DNS settings into your XBOX (360?).
Repeat 1. 2. Right-click and hit 'Status', then 'Details'. 3. Notice the IPv4 DNS Server. 4. Go to your system / Network / Wired on the XBOX and try typing in your Laptops DNS numbers (ex. 192.168.1.254). Unless they changed it on the new Blade system so that you HAVE to have and IP, subnet, and gateway, in which case, take note of those three numbers on your machine and plug those into the XBOX settings too (except if your computer shows 192.168.1.150, set your XBOX to something like 192.168.1.155, everything else the same).

Xbox nat setting

If you have a firewall or network hardware, such as a router, you might need to make a configuration change in order for your Xbox 360 console to communicate with Xbox LIVE. This configuration change is sometimes called “opening ports” or "port forwarding."

Xbox LIVE requires the following ports to be open: • TCP 80 • UDP 88 • UDP 3074 • TCP 3074 • UDP 53 • TCP 53

Are you connecting to Xbox live with a wireless connection or a wired one? There's not much to change if your going through a wired connection other than paying for a faster connection through your Internet Service Provider. If you're going through wireless, first try and change your router settings to NAT Open. Here's a guide on how to do it. It's recommended by Microsoft to have an open NAT instead of a mixed one. I know that when I have my xbox set this way, I connect faster to games in MW2. There's other things you can do with your router and xbox to try and get the best signal. But some are nitty gritty and hard to understand if you're not big on technical stuff. Good luck with this and trying to prestige!

My IMAC ethernet connection to my wrt54G is much slower than wifi

Then you have your settings wrong, as I have the same setup for many years. The setup page of your router should be set basically default, it should be all set to auto ip and other than your dns there should not be anything else to set. I have 3 wireless and two wired devices and all of the computers .And the speed is constant,,something is wrong with your settings, if you can take a screenshot by opening the router homepage and hitting the print screen button on your keyboard, you can then hit paste on here and it will past the entire thing on here to examine

You will be fine either way. I prefer wireless because obviously no wires, but i have never seen any difference in speed with wired/wireless connections.
