To open the program, you need to have some sort of CD/DVD Rom. You can also check the forums of that certain game and post the problem you have. At least it's the best help you can get, because they know the game better than I do.

Hi, I m a new user of apple mac book, I m trying to insert a disk in my dvd rom but still i am not able to open my dvd player. Can u help me that how will be open the dvd rom in apple mac book? means any...

Hi,
I would please like to tell you there is no button in MACBOOK to eject a tray as there is no tray.
You simply see a line on the right hand side of your laptop where you can insert a disc, u need to insert a disc into that part and when you insert it you will show you an icon on your desktop showing you the cd contents.
When you want to eject it keep in mind u need to click on the icon on your desktop and press the eject button or u can also use the keyboard and press the eject button, which will bring the disc out automatically.
Please do not worry try it, I'am sure it will work for you.
If there would be any problem and you need any help please do not hesitate to ask.
I'am also giving you a link to see the video of how to insert and eject the cd, please note this is the old model of the macbook, the only difference is that the drive is now located in the right hand side of the laptop, dont worry take a look.

Tip

Copy XBOX Games

Burning X-BOX & GAMECUBE GAMES using CDRWIN

1) Insert your original in your CD-ROM.
2) Open CDRWin (or any other image extractor) to make an ISO image of the game on your hard disc. Click on 'Extract Disc/Tracks/Sectors'.
3) Here are the settings which work for me (!):
Disc Image/Cue sheet
File-Format: Automatic
Reading-options:
RAW, CD+G, CD-TEXT and MCN/USRC all unchecked
Error Recovery: Ignore
Jitter Correction: Auto
Subcode Analyses: Fixed
Data-Speed: MAX
Read Retry Count: 10
Audio Speed: MAX
Subcode Threshold: 900
There are a lot of reports, that Raw reading also works, but I had problems with it enabled.
4) Click on 'Start'

RECORDING TO A DISC
1) Install Fireburner
2) Double Click on the Cue File for the Game.
3) Right Click and select burn to CD.
That's all there is record DAO, and you can try to burn it fast at 2x using PNY Black Diamond CDR'.

I have a new game Womens Murder Club, but cant start it up

After inserting the disc a auto play should activate and a setup menu should be displayed. You can then install the game. You can also open the CD drive find and select setup or install from the files on the disc. After the game is installed you can insert the disc and a menu should come up and "play game" or something of the sort should be displayed.

Can't open game

In the disk you should find a setup file or .exe file to install the game, the autorun file is just to tell the PC to run the file. Have a look for it
If you cannot find it please post back.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

I hate my computer!

No, this doesn't cost unless you sign up for Premium Assistance.
  1. Remove the disc from the drive.
  2. Look at the top of the disc (or game box). Verify whether it is a CDROM or DVD-ROM.
  3. If it is a DVD-ROM, verify the drive on your computer that you are inserting the disc into is capable of reading DVD-ROMs.
  4. Go to My Computer and verify which drive letter is the drive you'll be inserting the disc into.
  5. Insert the disc.
  6. Wait 20 seconds. If the disc doesn't automatically start up, go to step 7.
  7. Open My Computer and double click the drive containing the disc.
  8. If My Computer now shows the disc contents, find the most likely ".exe" file and run it.

I can't get the computer to find a cd or dvd, it keeps saying please insert disc - but its already in there.

Your driver(s) may be corrupt. Try this. RIGHT click on MY COMPUTER from your desktop, select PROPERTIES from the drop down menu, select the HARDWARE tab, click on the DEVICE MANAGER button, click on the (+) by the DVD/CD-ROM DRIVES line, RIGHT click the drive that isn't working, (this part may sound scary) select the UNINSTALL option, click OK in the warning box, then restart your computer. On restart, WIndows will automatically detect the deleted DVD/CD-ROM drive and will install the appropriate non-corrupt driver(s). This should solve your problem. If not the drive may be defective. Hope this helps!
