Kenmore 80 washer has loud banging during spin cycle

Hello,
My washer model 110.28803890 just had the clutch replaced and it was working perfectly fine before changing it minus the fact that it wasn't spinning fast enough to completely wring out the clothes but since I have replaced the clutch when it gets to the spin cycle it starts out fine but after a few seconds acts like the tub is just rocking around crazy instead of being attached.
I know that all of the parts that I took off got put back but need some ideas of where to check for what's going on... Maybe a better diagram than I have been able to locate so that I can double check all of the part placements... Thanks!

    Hi Vic,
    I took a couple of pictures of the parts that I think you're talking about. Not quite sure. If you could please clarify your instructions I'll check it out better. :) Thanks!

Hi, Check the block assembly that slid on top the basket drive shaft. It might have came loose. Make sure the tabs on the shaft slide into the slots in the block. I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Kenmore 80 series has loud banging sound during the spin cycle

I had a washer that at the beginning of the spin cycle it was fine, but when the water was half drained it would begin making a banging noise. When the draining reach the bottom and the spin speed increased it was fine. Finally found the problem - What happened was the tabs that hold the control arms for the brake had loosened. During the spin cycle especially in the middle of the cycle (when torque was at the maximum and speed was at medium. The brake spring would flex out due to compression and hit the some extended metal tab on the brake housing. Once the speed increased and the torque reduced the spring no longer hit the housing tabs. Fix the problem by bending the tabs that hold the brake control arms in place to better hold the control arms in the proper location.

My Kenmore 80 series washer just started making a loud Aihaiha electrical or motor type noise. This happened during a heavy load cycle. Noise was very loud. When I click to regular, delicate or hand wash....

The following are the reasons for the drum not spinning :-
* Test the lid switch
* Test the timer control
* Test the centrifugal switch
* Test the water level switch
* Inspect the motor coupler
* Inspect the drive belt (belt drive only)
* Inspect under the washer for soot (clutch)
* Test the motor
* Inspect the pulley
* Test the transmission

In the case of loud noises in the machine, the drum bearings might have been damaged and might need a replacement. Also do check the leveling of the machine. Good luck.

Kenmore series 80 washer makes loud knocking noise during spin cy

Unless your front loader is set firmly on concrete and leveled to perfection, the force of a heavy wash load spinning in excess of 1000rpm will create a bit of vibration and noise.A firm footing is your best defense against to much movement.
Also due to the earlier movements during the spin cycle, the shocks that are used to dampen the spin cycle might have been broken or damaged.
If the problem persists inspite of proper levelling, please do check for the shocks or might have them replaced them for good.
