When you reformat a memory stick it creates a trash folder which stores all the data incase you need to use it again. Put your memory stick in your psp then connect your psp via usb to a computer, in the computer view of the momory stick make sure you have the 'view hidden folders' option checked, then delete all folders & files on the stick. Remove the psp from the computer & reformat it again you should find 8gb available again

Why only 3GB free on 8GB attache flash drive when everything has been deleted

What operating system are you using it on and what file system did you format the Flash drive with? If you are using an OS that has a file system lower than fat32 or if you formatted it with a file system lower than fat32 then that is why It shows less than 8GB total.

Hi there, It seams there are hidden files on your memory stick. I would advise you format it to clear it completely.

When viewing pictures on camera and File Error shows up across the screen

Hi,
Format memory stick in camera, format option is available in setup menu of camera.
Note: all files will be deleted on memory stick after format so make sure you have transferred picture files in computer or have back up.
If problem still not solved then put another memory stick in camera as this memory stick seems defective.
Thanks.

After loading VOD files for editing, sometimes

My suggestion is that although the same size, some file types require more memory and more time to process. My experience has been that although some conversions happen rather quickly, others do not. Things to check are..
1. Clean your registry of obsolete and redunant keys and values.
2. Check amount of memory available.(not the amount installed, but the amount avalable after the system takes its required amount. eg. a 4gb RAM pack will have abour 2gb available for processing files.
3. Clean up drive, remove unnecessary and unused files and folders.
4. Do some HHD maintenance, that is run checkdisk and defragmenter.
Doing these things might not cure your problem, but they will help.

My kingston 8gb cards only show 1.87 gb and will

The 'FAT' file-system uses 16-bit arithmetic, and thus is limited to about 2GB in size.
The 'FAT32' file-system uses 32-bit arithmetic, and thus can easily format an 8GB device.

So, be sure to choose 'FAT32'.

Also:
Click Start
Right-mouse click My Computer
Choose Manage
Click Storage
Click Disk Management (local)
Does the card show a 1.87GB "partition", plus 6.13GB of "unused" space?
If so, then delete that "small" partition, and then create a new partition that "spans" the entire 8GB.
Then, FORMAT that partition.

8gb memory card corrupted.

If its cost a lot, it should have warranty. Go and ask for a replace. 7.63 GB is ok for a 8 GB card. cz, file system itself takes some space.

But i dont think the card is still good.
