Place your XP cd in the cd drive, reboot with the disc in. Select the repair Windows option when the menu appears. This should replace any missing files without losing any data on your hdd. Good luck & hope this helps.

Many new hardware pieces do NOT support Windows XP.
Upgrade to Windows 7 (or 8) to get support for the device.
Notice that Microsoft will stop supporting Windows XP on April 9, 2014 -- it's time to "retire" all XP systems.

The ordinal 120 could not be located in the dynamic link library iertutil.dll

iertutil.dll is a dynamic link library used by Internet Explorer. Ordinal 120 refers to something inside the dynamic link library. These errors typically occur when the file is corrupt or there is a version mismatch (eg. IE 9 using iertutil.dll from IE 8). A reinstall of IE should fix this problem

Try to find "ie.inf" file on your computer than right click on that file and click on the option "Install". You should restart the computer after completing the installation process.

Here is how it should be done.

Start>Search (type in ie.inf then hit enter)>After it comes up in the search results window right click the ie.inf file>Install>Wait till done>Reboot computer. Done!!

Ordinal 266 missing

Download Windows XP Service Pack 3 on another computer,
and burn to a CD, or copy to a USB memory-stick.

Take the CD or memory-stick to your computer, and Install SP3 on your computer.
Then, access http://windowsUpdate.microsoft.com to get all the post-SP3 updates.

This will install the newest DLL files, with all the correct ordinal-points (including #266).

Ordinal 120 could not be located

Redownload IE. Somehow you are missing a .dll. DLL is a file associated with programs that is dynamic in nature, in which the program writes onto it or removes info from it. You can D/L on another PC then install on yours via CD or memory stick - Firefox, or Google Chrome browser then visit the windows family update site and d/l the latest version of IE.
