Question about SanDisk Sansa Clip MP3 Player
No connection for sansadisc mp3 player on old computer
Sandisk does not provide a driver for anything older than Windows XP. You cannot charge the player over anything but a USB 2.0 connection (older computers don't have these). For more info, check here: http://forums.sandisk.com/sansa/board/message?board.id=clip&message.id=1348

To my knowledge, the only way to charge an mp3 on a computer is with a USB drive, so if the computer is so old it doesn't have USB ports, then you may want to look into buying a new computer or asking a friend to borrow theirs.
