The dryer does not start. Is there someway to reset it.

See if the circuit breaker connected to the Dryer line is off or if it is a fuse, if it is blown. There also may be a separte switch on the line near your dryer outlet. Follow the wiring back to your circuit breaker. Do not touch any wiring unless it is shut off at the main.

Unplug the dryer, wait an hour and replug. Turn on the power button. If that doesn't work press and hold the power button.

Kenmore 90 series dryer, motor wont start, loud

Hi,
  • Check to see whether there's power getting to the dryer. Is it plugged in? If you plug something else into the outlet, does it work? If not, check for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

  • If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.

  • Often the main wiring connection from the house, at the dryer, burns and the connection breaks. In this has happened to your dryer, you need to replace the power cord and the terminal block inside the dryer to which the wire is attached.
Hope this will fix your problem for sure.

Our dryer stopped working in the middle of a load. Now when I press the start button the timer does nothing but click. I am not sure but I thought it might be the push start button was faulty. Any ideas?

Main main breaker keeps popping after I put in a pond lite and run the electric dryer. Could this be a ground problem or what else it just started

How about disconnecting your pond lite, and then trying your dryer? Usually pond lights are wired with some sort of ground fault protection. And this will trip immediately if there's another source...especially a heating source with a motor. Its the motor that senses the gfi, and trips it. I'd disconnect the pond light from the dryer, and then try it. If it works fine, then get another power source (not linked to the dryer) to run the pond light and see how it works. I believe when you separate their power sources, you should be fine. Try this, and then let me know if you have success, or need some more guidance. But I'm most sure this is it. Good Luck, and I hope this works for you. - Jim

My Dryer just stopped working in the missle of a

with your door open have some one try and turn the dryer on while you hold the button in and turn the drum by hand to get it started.
if it starts the your motor may just have lint build up around it causing the contacts to be dirty.
there is a couple of other things that might have gone wrong the main control board has gone bad or the door switch, motor has gone out

My dryer just won't start when I press the start

The electrical breaker may not be turned on. Check the homes main electrical breaker panel and ensure the breaker marked Dryer is in the on position. If this does not work, you may need to call someone in to take a look at the dryer.

Dryer was working the just stopped and won't start back

check your main breaker box first, see if it tripped, if the breaker looks okay then turn off the breaker for the dryer and reset the breaker switch, if this still doesn't work then a fuse has popped on the circuit board.
