Re: Cannot install active sync on my windows xp computer

Just download ActiveSync form the Microsoft DL page and install.
This won't require flash at all.

Re: Cannot install active sync on my windows xp computer

I also went through this. there is another way around it. most likely you'll need to go here and download the activesync. My Lap top is not cooperative with the original drivers from asus either I found the link earlier today.

save it and install it your asus will then Sync with your xp computers anyway Vista is another install same sit however good luck guys. oh and check for security patches and updates on your adobe and java programs I found that my asus didn't like the jre 1.6

Note: Microsoft ActiveSync is for windows XP and earlier version only. In case of Microsoft VISTA download Windows Mobile Device Center.

I dont have a softwre to sync my PDA with my pc

there is no such thing as a benq pc suite...

the cd only contains trial version of
pocket outlook <--------- this cannot be downloaded anymore due to the release of the new windows mobile office
presentation dx (pocket point beta) <---- you can download this
pocket version of adobe reader <---- you can download this at

if you need the program for syncing the device do the following:

if your pc is windows vista you dont need the active sync sotware by microsoft... because there is a preinstalled software included with the os... (its called windows device center found in control panel)

if you're using windows xp (all versions except x64) here are the download link of Microsoft Active Sync...

active sync 4.5 (xp sp2 /sp3)
active sync 4.2 (support for almost all xp formats xp, 2003, sp1, media center)

Active sync

Do you have the proper drivers installed? Try here for USB to Computer Drivers if you have Windows XP: Also make sure that you have Activesync 3.8 or other version of 3. You can find it here:

Does the ipaq 2215 work with Outlook 2002?

Active Sync will work with many version of outlook. Your PDA interfaces with Active Sync. Certain versions of Windows Mobile software and/or PDA's require higher versions of active sync to sync correctly.

Problems with installing Active Sync on Windows xp.

Do you use companion CD for Active sync installation? Can you please tell me which driver is necessary to have? Is there any error message and what is content of this message? It can also be that Active Sync is already installed! Please check at Add and remove Software in Control panel! Otherwise go to and download a current version of active sync

HELP: Activesync XP Reboot Problems!

Now don't laugh :-) on win 98 windows - I'm told - had a certain limited ability to fix itself. I don't know if xp does or not. Anyway on 98 if you ran into a problem you could let it reboot three or four times without doing anything but booting and shutting down - it at times would correct itself. This was normally on boot problems, but it might do some good - don't know of anything else to suggest. In your case I'd try this then try running active sync two or three times without doing anything else. Anyway that would keep you busy till a good tip comes along :-)
