This means the .xml was expecting some information when the page is accessed, and either the information given is wrong, like wrong file type, or damaged file, or missing the name or the file. So, if nothing has changed since you last used it; then either a file is missing or corrupt, or you've changed devices, or an upgrade to your current system has killed the app.

Help me fix a Parsing error in file C:\program files\HP\ Digital Imaging\bin\hp\qsclo\1033.xml.


In the following location there is a file called hpqscloc.dll. Right click the file and choose Properties.
Go to Version tab. What is the version of your dll? Mine is 120.0.26.58

Try double clicking the 1033.xml. Is there any error message when you do so?

PNY Optima SD HC Card cannot be read in HP Photosmart 8150 printer.


  1. Verify that the printer is turned off.
  2. Remove the Secure Digital memory card from the printer.
  3. Examine the Secure Digital memory card:
    • Is the lock switch in the unlock position?
    • Are there any visible discolorations or defects such as crack or nick in the card?
    • Are there any contacts missing from the end of the card?
    • Are there any deep scratches in the card contacts?
    • Is there any heat discoloration on the card? NOTE: If all of the above questions result in No , proceed to Step 4.
  4. Check if the HP Photosmart printer supports the file format. NOTE: In order to know which file formats are supported by the different HP Photosmart printers, please refer to the manual of your printer.
  5. (Saving the pictures on the PC, if possible) Insert the Secure Digital memory card in the camera (or another device) and format it following the proper instructions to perform it.
  6. Capture an image.
  7. Review the image. If the image is corrupted or an error such as Unsupported Image File is displayed, the Secure Digital memory card is suspected to be defective and should either be replaced or referred to the manufacturer for further troubleshooting.
  8. If the images are read properly, turn on the printer. Insert the Secure Digital memory card in the Secure Digital slot.
  9. If the printer display continues to show the Card Not Recognized error, try using another Secure Digital memory card, if one is available.
  10. If the printer is still unable to read a functional and compatible Secure Digital card, contact HP to obtain additional troubleshooting information.

When I try to open the HP Solution Center I get the error message: Parsing error in file c:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqsdoc\1033.xml


This message is because Microsoft XML services are having a problem.Here is what you could do to fix.
Step 1: Uninstall All-in-One software
Step 2: Restart the computer
Step 3: Install the Windows installer 3.0

When you click on the icon it is trying to open an xml file which is like a web page. The parsing error means there is an error in the page. I think the best way to cure this problem is to go to http://www.hp.com/#Support and put in the model number of your computer and download new drivers for your printer. You should also uninstall any current drivers you have from control panel's add and remove programs.

Uninstall the HP software:
Start
Control Panel
Add/Remove Programs
Select HP
Remove

Restart.

Re-install the software.
Access HP Director.

Hi, when I want to open scaner in hp office jet6213 I recieve this message "selektskin-error" (the file c:program fileshpdigital imageskinsoov1skin.xmldose not exist) What should I do?


The 'missing' file exists, but is in the wrong folder. This problem is known to HP. Here is the solution:
# Open Windows Explorer.
# Click the + sign next to Local Disk (C:).
# Click the + sign next to Program Files .
# Click the + sign next to HP or Hewlett Packard .
# Click the + sign next to Digital Imaging .
# Click the + sign next to Skins .
# Make sure there are only two folders; one named hp1 and one named 00v1 . If there are any variations to the folder name, or extra folders, delete them.
# If there are not any extra folders, check the contents of the folder and make sure they are correct.

1. Look inside the hp1 folder; it should contain sixteen icons (including folders).
2. Look inside the 00v1 folder it should also contain sixteen icons (including folders).

What you will probably discover is that the skin files in the 00v1 folder are all or partially missing. Copy all the files in the hp1 folder to the 00v1 folder, and be sure skin.xml is one of these files. And if there are any other folders in that subdirectory delete them, and if the 00v1 folder is missing, create it.

EVERY TIME I use my scanner ie scrips errors involving - file:///C:/Program%20Files/HP/Digital%20Imaging/Skins/hp1/sc/scan.htm comes up


Hi I encountered a similiar problem with my HP PSC 2310 printer recently. "file:///C:/Program%20Files/HP/Digital%20Imaging/Skins/hp1/sc/scan.htm". Following are the soultions provided by HP team. Solved mine using solution #1. Hope this is of help :)

Solution 1:
1. Double-click on 'My Computer' icon on the desktop.
2. Double-click on C:
3. Double-click on 'Program Files'.
4. Double-click on 'HP' folder.
5. Double-click on 'Digital Imaging' folder.
6. Double-click on 'Skins' folder.
7. Locate and double-click on 'hp1' folder.
8. Locate, right-click on 'skins.xml' file and select 'Copy'.
9. Click on the 'Back' arrow to go to the 'Skins' folder.
10. Double-click on 'hp2' or 'oov1' folder.
11. In the folder, right-click on any blank space and select 'Paste'.
12. Now restart your computer and check the functionality.
If the issue still persists, please follow solution 2.

Solution 2:
1. Insert the All-in-one software CD in your computer and cancel any installation screen that may appear.
2. Double-click on 'My Computer' icon.
3. Right-click on the CD-ROM drive that contains the software CD and select 'Open'.
4. Double-click on the 'Setup' folder.
5. Double-click on the 'SkinsHP' folder.
6. Right-click on the file 'SkinsHP1.MSI' file and select 'Install'.
7. Again right-click on the file 'SkinsHP1.MSI' file and select 'Repair'.
8. Restart the computer and check the functionality.

Solution 3: Uninstall and reinstall of the software.
1. Insert the CD that came along with the printer.
2. In the CD contents, you will be able to view a folder named "UTIL".
3. Inside the UTIL folder there will be a folder named "CCC".
4. In the CCC folder, among the various files, you will be able to view four files named, Uninstall_L1.bat, Uninstall_L2.bat, Uninstall_L3.bat and Uninstall_L4.bat.
5. First double click on Uninstall_L1.bat file. A black DOS window will open up. This will uninstall the software by Level 1 method. It will take a while until Level 1 uninstallation is complete.
6. Similarly complete level 4 uninstallation by clicking on Uninstall_L2.bat, Uninstall_L3.bat and then in Uninstall_L4.bat.
7. This completes level 4 uninstallation of the software.
8. Now install the software from the CD and check if the issue is resolved.
