Question about Philips 46PP9302 46" Rear Projection Television
How Can I rectify the problems below, #'s+letters"r"doubled(ghosting) Has slight distortion in top left corner and along bottom of screen. Have been told one of the prisms may be slightly out of alignment and is easily fixed. I wonder how much is the cost to repair it and canI pls ,If I may download the book for this philips rear projection tv? if so where can i download it and how? Pls reply to firstname.lastname@example.org In my head I'm picturing a projector that needs to be realigned to the screen. I also have cobwebs showing behind my screen. I'd like to see a photo or manual showing what my TV looks like when I take off the back.
Basically, what you have is a convergence problem, very, very common amongst rear projection TVs. Here is a link to a website where the guy shows step by step including pictures on how to fix it yourself. If not, the repair costs anywhere from $250-400. Best of luck.
