The shortest and sometimes largest of the two goes to the primer bulb. The other goes to the carb.

My bike sat for a couple months, now I need to know How to drain the gas

Disconnect the fuel line at the carby with fuel tap off. Put loose end into a container and turn on fuel tap. ( doesn't make a big mess that way) now you wait until it's empty, refill tank, flush fuel line a little, reconnect fuel line, then you might need to drain the fuel bowl on the carby as well using the screw to one side ( the bottom one removes the fuel bowl, you only want to drain it) DONE!

Can't start and gas is not being pulled thru the filter. How do I test to make sure my fuel pump is working?

Pull the spark plug wire to make sure the engine doesn't start. First check the line from the gas tank to the pump. Disconnect the fuel line from the gas tank at the fuel pump. Take off your gas tank fill cap and using light air pressure, blow into the line to see if you get bubbles in the gas tank. Canned air for cleaning computers or compressed air at a very low setting work well for this. Do not use high pressure so you don't burst the line or blow it off a connection that's not easy to get at. If no bubbles come up in the tank, check the line and pickup area of the tank. If the line is clear, reconnect everything. Disconnect the fuel line at the carburator. Holding the end of the fuel line in a small jar, turn the motor over. If the pump is OK it should shoot gas into the jar. If not the pump should be replaced. If it does check your float and needle valve in the carburator bowl.

Fuel pump issues, car won't start, but cranks. I want to know where the fuel pump is and how I can see if it is working properly. How do you diagnose the fuel system issues.

the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank.

I assume you don't have a fuel pressure gauge so the first thing you can do is climb under the vehicle and disconnect the plastic fuel line where it connects to the metal line about in the center of the van up where the front seats would be. Have a drain pan under this area to catch any fuel and be ready to be sprayed if there is fuel pressure in the line. Safety glasses would be a good idea and you can wrap a rag around the line right before you fully disconnect the two lines to help avoid spraying gas everywhere.

keep the drain pan under the area of the disconnected line. Turn the key on but do not start the vehicle. You should see gas spray out of the plastic line. If you don't you're on the right track.

If there is no fuel, reconnect the lines and look back by the fuel tank. You will see the harness. find the dark green with white wire. It is the power supply to the fuel pump. Check for power on that wire. If you have power than you have a bad pump.

My propane tank still feels partially filled (half a tank) but the flame and heat don't seem to be generating what they should even when turned to high, is there a clog in my system? Where should I...

The chances are that the orifice for the gas is blocked. If your grill has been outside it is possible that spiders have clogged the valve. Spiders are attracted to the propane gas odor. Remove the line at the valve and turn the gas on to make sure the valve is clear (do this outside). If the valve is clear, check the line from the valve to the burner jet, Check each piece in order from the valve to the jet. This should clear the problem.
Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks

How do i drop the fuel tank to replace my fuel pump on my 2006 chevy trailblazer LS. There are 3 lines that I don't know what they are used for after you drop the tank 4 or 5 inches.

their are two fuel line at the front of the tank one is the fuel feed and the other is the return line! Now the ones at the back of the tank are for emission you don't want to break or damage those make sure you disconnect all of those line and the is a red connector also at the rear of the top of the tank make sure you disconnect that. And just make sure careful when remove fuel pump it has a tight fit coming out also when your done make sure all your hoses and lines are reconnected and the red ont too! GOOD LUCK !

Need to know how to re-connect primer bulb on McCulloch Model # B00032-32, Ser # 11-100258 (McCulloch Gas Powered Chain Saw)

Take the line off of the primer that goes to the tank and leave loose for a moment. The other line to the primer comes from the carburetor and it should be be tried on either port on the primer until it will pull fuel into itself when pumped. If neither port works, the primer pump may be faulty, the carburetor is plugged internally, or the fuel line from the tank to the carburetor is decayed or the fuel filter is plugged. When the primer pulls fuel into itself, reconnect the return line that goes back to the tank. Hope this helps!

The flow gas coming from the burner is very slow. only heats up to less than 200 degrees. even the side burner is the same. i've cleaned it and changed tank. what is my next step?

It could be a defective LP gas regulator or a restriction somewhere in the gas line for the bbq. This can also happen if the propane tank is overfilled.

First make sure that the LP tank is not overfilled. If you open the bleeder hole on the tank(small screw next to the valve) there should be no liquids coming out. If liquid propane is coming out then the tank is overfilled. Keep the bleeder screw loose until the liquid disappears then tighten. Re-connect the tank and see if that fixes the problem.

Then inspect all the gas lines on the bbq. Make sure that there are no kinks or crushed lines.

Then take a look at the gas regulator. Try turning on all the burners then give the regulator a couple good taps on the housing with something solid. See if the burner changes size. If it does and then goes back down it could be the gas regulator. Also take a look at the regulator housing. There should be a very small hole on the housing and it might be labled "vent". Make sure that this little hole is not plugged with any debris or that can cause a low pressure problem. You can use a sewing needle to gently poke out the hole. You will know if it worked because the burners will become much higher. And you could also try disconnecting the hose and regulator assembly from the bbq then turn on the LP tank slowly with the regulator connected. You should get plenty of gas flow from the end of the hose. Then use your hand to block and release the flow a couple times to try and clear any debris that might stuck in the regulator.BE VERY CAREFUL DOING THIS!!! MAKE SURE YOU ARE CLEAR OF ANY SOURCES OF IGNITION BEFORE TRYING TO CLEAR THE REGULATOR. Then reconnect the hose regulator and tank to see if the problem is fixed. If you are getting very low flow from the hose with the regulator disconnected then it is probably a defective regulator. They are pretty standard and you can purchase a new LP hose and regulator assembly from most home improvement stores.

If the regulator checks out good then I would think that there is a restriction in the main gas line for the bbq after the regulator. You will need you dis-assemble the main line and blow it out with some compressed air to clear the restriction.
