Question about Homelite Mighty Lite Lawn Trimmer
Trimmer has fuel. Has new spark plug. Pulled spark plug and put back in socket and pulled handle repeatedly but could not see any fire at end of plug.
Be sure your kill switch is set to run positon and the wires from it arent grounding theirself out . Make sure your spark plug is
grnded to metal when you check for spark.(ground to head away from the spark plug hole
You may have a bad ignition module if you still have no spark or the flywheel keyway has sheared for some reason throwing it out of timing.(removal of flywheel is required to see if the keyways are aligned flywheel and crankshaft)
If your flywheel seems tight then you may be ok
not a high failure rate but it has happened.Gap your plug at .030 then.025 see if that makes a difference? keep going to a smaller gap to show you may have a weak module not able to jump a wider gap.
just a couple things to check hope this helps maybe
