Games wont play. Problems with Disk player

When I insert games (even brand new) It starts reading and then says "Open Tray" so I do this and then close it again and get the same thing. After I've done this several times it starts to play the disk and after a couple minutes I get this "To play this disk, insert it into an xbox 360 console.

It might be the disk drive lens just inst reading. if you still have warrenty with microsoft call and tell them whats wrong. if not then it will be cheaper if you buy a new disk drive for your xbox 360 and have a game repair shop replace it or just take it to the game repair shop and they can tell you whats wrong for sure. but call microsoft first you have 3 year warrenty with microsoft depending around what time you purchesed your system.

Xbox 360's disk drive is starting to fail.Knocking on the top of the Xbox (when its on its side) while loading a game cansometimes get it to work, but at some point you will need to have your Xbox repaired by Microsoft or replace it.

i guess it cant able to read any of your disk and this will occur only when u hav som problem with settings or the disk reader problems..u can try this site to solve your problem..

"Open tray" problem the moment I updated my Xbox360 pro.

That laser or drive in the unit needs to be replaced but gamestop won't do it there and give the unit back to you. They will just get you another unit, hopefully it won't be a refurbished unit and it will be a new one.

If you don't have the tools to open your 360 go to best buy or an office supply store and get a can of compressed air and blow the dust out of the dvd drive. If that doesn't work then the lens needs to be cleaned with a q-tip and alcohol. This has worked for me on numerous occasions.

One day i was playing halo 3 and my disk drive starting making wierd, grinding noises and stopped then after the noise stopped my disk would stop spinning and now eveytime i try to read my disk my motor...

This hard disk is a easy fix, You can buy a new one for the fraction of the cost, All you have to do is slip this off the unit and apply an new or even a used hard drive. Not recognizing DVD player

i would say for some reason your dvd player is not compatible from now on with that brand of blank dvd!

get the firmware update from the brand website all you do is download the file burnit on a cd and put it in the dvd player should fix most and eventual problems

Won't read disc's

theres a known problem with the hitashi dvd drive in the xbox 360.
the only solution to this is a home repair job, look up on youtube on how to do this, although this isnt recommended as it voids warranty.
so the best way is definitely just to ring microsoft and send ur console in for repair.
