Plasma is old technology and it is 16 years old and made in Mexico, the worst place for quality control. It is time for a new one, or at least an upgrade. Or you can get a board kit and take a chance on fixing it.

Switch through the TV input selector until you find the proper input channel , probably you are using the wrong input.

Most laptops have a 15pin D-sub connection that allows you to attach an external display. Most LCD and plasma TV's also have a 15pin D-sub connector to connect a PC to.

Look on the side of your laptop and the back of your TV for this connector and if both have it just find a standard monitor cable to connect them.


Your laptop will have a function key to enable or disable the external display.

you can cenect your laptop to samsung plasma TV using VGA cable to your laptop.
After all seting up, by pressing combination fn + F5 or F3 depend your laptop you will conected to samsung plasma tv.
plasma will automatically detect your laptop connection. If not detected, you can choose PC input manually by pressing source on remocon.

you could plug a video cable into the back of your laptop and turn it back on it should recognize your external monitor
