My other camera (Olympus) came with an "Olympus Master" so have not had to use my card reader. I am buying a new camera Nikon and will be using a SD memoray card. I have no idea of how to use the card reader to put pictures onto my computer. Are there any simple instructions as I am totally ignorant. I put the driver in and it kept aborting. Should I be attaching the card reader as well? Have not bought the camera yet!!
Connect the card reader and plug the card into it. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Start "Disk Utility" and "repair disk permissions on all disks. Restart the Mac and it should fix. I don't believe one ever needs to load a driver on a Mac for any card reader. It should work as plug and play.
Good luck.
