You locked the sim card by entering your passcode wrong more than 5 times.
call your provider and ask them for a PUK code and they will give you one.
also you can walk in to a provider store for help and log onto the provider website for a puk code.

My cell phone is locked.

To unlock a Samsung turn the phone off take the sim card and type the following code *#pw+15853649247w# .
Java status code: #*53696# (Samsung X600) If you want to unlock your phone put a sim from another company then type *#9998*3323# it will reset your phone. Push exit and then push 7, it will reset again. Put your other sim in and it will say sim lock, type in 00000000 then it should be unlocked. Type in *0141# then the green call batton and it's unlocked to all networks. This code may not work on the older phones and some of the newer phones. If it doesn't work you will have to reset your phone without a sim in it by typing *#2767*2878# or *#9998*3855# (not tested)

How will i have a code on my n70?

well, you can choose to use a 'PIN code' or a 'Lock code' or 'Memory card lock'

1. PIN code actually locks up your SIM card, so anywhere you put your SIM card, the message on your SIM card will not be read by anybody without knowing your password. It'll ask you password each time you switch on your phone, but after switched on, it'll not be locked anymore, so anyone can read your phone after switched on.

2.while Lock code, locks your mobile phone like 'keypad lock', the different is, instead of just pressing , left softkey and * button, you need to put password on it (it lock after certain idle time - or you can choose to lock it anytime you want by pressing the on-off switch one time (don;t press too long) and choose the belowest which said lock phone ). this type of lock is commonly used.

3.Memory card lock, locks any application which access your memory card, such as images, text, songs, data that is stored on your memory card. but this type of lock, often bring troubles when the memory card get corrupted. so I suggest number 2 type of lock (lock code)

WARNING!!! all password should be remembered, as if you forgot those password, no body can help you unless technician.. see those articles which people post when they forget their password, so you know the risk and the consequences. But they're actually safe as long as you remember ^^

Good luck, all the best!!

just give me the phones serial number........send it to edwinsheringham@lycos.com and i will try and  give you the code for unlocking.

In newer phones:
#*7337#

this step sometimes also works

If you have changed your phone password, change your password back to the default 8 zeros (00000000).
1a. NOTE (Modification here by my experience): Goto SETTINGS, SECURITY, then SIM LOCK and disable this before proceeding.
2. Put a SIM card that is from a network other than the one your phone is locked to
3. When Incorrect SIM error comes up, type *#9998*3323#.
4. White screen will appear with an exit option. Press the right softkey.
5. From the menu that appears, select the Malloc Fail option. This will reboot the phone and the normal service screens will appear.
6. Type *0141# and then press the green call key. "Personalization" or "Personalized" will appear.
7. Turn off your phone and put the original SIM back in.
8. Turn on your phone. You will receive a prompt to enter a password.
9. Type 8 zeros (00000000) (This is because the SIM LOCK mentioned earlier gets switched back on)
10. Completed. You have now unlocked your phone.

tested on e-series phones - may work on similar models but not sure

please let me know the outcome

  11. With the studio software from samsung you are able to edit and move contacts from your phone to the sim and back. Or copy from the phone and put them on the sim card.
