Periodically saving contacts and other information
weekly would be beneficial in this case.
in the call log; select each number you want to keep and re-safe to SIM card if your phone will let you, or write them down to re-enter
at a later time.

what you can do is use a recovery software like GetDataBack but my friend it seems like they've gone cuz the data recovery for hard drives is very low so memory cards have very little chance...

SOURCE: restore deleted text messages

Hello

I'm sorry to hear your misfortune, below is some software that will help you.

Memory card data restore software

No free software for SIM Card Data Recovery

As far as I know there is no known software for recovering deleted data from the internal memory of the phone.
Messages should have been stored in one place or the other not both.

Post back if you have any further questions, thank you for choosing Fixya!

How do i delete only selected message recipeint or call from the log. How do i move any received file into any folder in memory card. Not in memory card..but a folder in memory card

Hi, you can delete selected message recipient by using Conversation View in Nokia X3. Please open Messages menu and select Conversation view, now select option on any message recipient then select Delete Conversation to delete the messages sent by a particular recipient. You can delete Calls from the log by opening Log Menu and selecting "Clear Log lists". You cannot move any Messages directly to the Memory Card or to a folder in Memory Card. However you can backup all Messages, Contacts, Calendar, Notes...etc to the Memory Card by going>Menu>Settings>Sync & backup> Create backup option. This will create backup on which you select like Messages, Contacts...etc to the Memory Card. You can restore the created backup by using the "Restore backup" option in the same Sync & backup Menu. It is also possible to restore the backup by directly opening the backup file which you have created in the Memory Card.

Msgs - Too many msgs!!!!

SMS and picture messages are not stored on the memory stick.
Sony Ericsson phones have a set allotted memory space for messages and other phone functions.
You may need to delete picture messages, check if you have any saved messages (these are saved to your SIM).
Generally, the only other option would be to reset your phone.
To do a master reset, go to your Menu, then select Settings. Under the General tab, scroll down to Master reset and press select. Select Reset All and press yes.
If prompted, the default passcode is 0000.
Please note that a Master Reset will return the phone to its factory default settings (including locking a phone to the carrier if it has been unlocked). All user data and settings will be deleted. If you have any files or information you would like to save, you should either back it up to a memory stick or your computer. Your contacts can be backed up to the memory stick or your SIM card.
