Hi I am Vortash It could be a number of reasons electronic ?.. the target image is not operating correctly ?. the lens is contaminated inside ( sometimes crystalline deposits build up in the lens .. it is a type of bacteria that somehow gets in I have had it with several cameras .. especially ones stored in cold places that condensate when bought into the warm .). the focus receptor is faulty .. as I say could be many things even as simple as a wrong setting in your menu .. But I am presuming you have checked all that .. if it was set on low light for instance ?. ..your best bet would be a free estimate from a camera service agent and then to decide the economics of repair ... regards Vortash
