Display problem:, Open you monitor then check the inverter try to use anothe inverter the same models and use this inverter to another computer if working very well chek the cable of vga. or connection, at the back of screen of laptop..

you can test also by another screen to test the screen if some problem...

Dell Laptops (Has power no display issues)

1. Immediately run PSA. (Make sure laptop is connected to AC Adapter. Leave laptop off. Press and hold on the Fn key then press power button once).

2. Just wait for about 3 to 5 minutes then you might will hear beeping sounds (no display with beeping sounds) this means that laptop is working fine but no display. This might cause by either the video card or LCD.

3. After hearing beeps turn off laptop. (Press and hold on the power button for about 3 seconds)

4. Leave laptop off. Press and hold on the D key then press power button once. If full screen colors appears this means LCD is working fine and the problem is the video card. If no display from the LCD no colors were displayed try the test again just to make sure. If still the same no full screen colors then the problem is the LCD.

PC won't power up. green led is on steady on the power supply, but nothing.

If you are seeing the green power light is lite up and not blinking this normally means that the computer is some what working properly.

The question I have for you is that do you get any kind of display when you first turn on the computer. Also if you listen to the computer does it sound normal or do you hear sounds that you normally do not hear.

The reason I ask this is because it is possible that the problem is with your video card and/or it drivers.

If you have access to a CRT monitor you might try connecting it to the computer to see if you get display. If you do then all you need to do is reinstall the drivers for your video card.

Let em know what you find out.

what model you are using? please provide more information and how exact it went like this?

if you can hear sound from your phone even in white display, that means you have to change display (sometime flex cable inside it)
if you can't hear sound, then it can be solved through software service point (normally repairer can do this)

Blank screen upon startup
Try taking out the hard disk, plug in power and see if you have a display on your screen or external monitor. if same thing happen, try taking out the memory card. If you hear a beep sound it's a faulty mem. card, if no beep sound appears I suspected it's a motherboard faulty.

When i turn my CRT on, after a few seconds my screen goes blank, then displays again, while this thing is happening, i can hear something switching... power led is on(green)... even when the display goes...
It sounds to me that the monitors power supply is dying. I would replace it with a different monitor as soon as possible. I would consider this a dangerous situation, and a possible fire hazard.

No display
Hi Sunmoon, Do you hear any boot up noises from the laptop? Does it appear to be working as normal, but without a picture - sometimes you may know this because you hear the XP / Vista logon sound. It could be a backlight or inverter problem. If you look side on to the screen you might see a faint image. Moncapitaan
