Question about Dell Dimension 4600 PC Desktop
The computer shuts off randomly for a couple of seconds and then reboots. It also has lound buzzing occationally and the only way to stop it is to turn it off by the power switch. Any ideas? alreayd replaced a failed sound card and increased the ram to 1.5 gb
Random reboots are usually caused by a failing power supply.Suggest you replace the power supply within the pc.

Try to open it in safe mode. If it opens and don't reboot then right click on my computer->click on properties->click on Advanced Tab->setup and recovery framework click on settings->in system failure framework remove checked from Automatically restart.
