Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

WD-52525 Solid Green Light, no picture

Just a month ago, the caps blew out on the power board, so I replaced those. Then the red lamp light came up, and I replaced the lamp. The

TV worked fine for about 4 months or so after that, and then the blinking green light problem showed up again, so I tore the thing apart yet again to find some busted caps. This time, it was one on the DM board, so I replaced all four with some that had a higher voltage rating (always safer to use caps that are rated for higher voltage (25v vs. 16v), and rumor has it that Mitsubishi decided to use less voltage tolerant caps in these TV's)

Got it fixed, put it back together, and now I get no picture when I turn it on. Also, the rear exhaust fan (the one in the middle of the rear panel used to exhaust the hot air off of some kind of heatsink around where the projecotr is) doesn't turn on like it should when I press the power button.

All I get is a solid green light on the front panel and no picture or sound.

What's going on?

I have one of thos green blinking light and NO

The lamp light would be solid red if the lamp were out. The steady blinking green led is usually caused by failed capacitors on the DM board. You can get the V26 dm repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which should repair that issue. The kit contains the capacitors and the CD with detailed instructions.

Turned on TV and had no picture. Now when I reset I get green blinking light then solid green status. After about 30 seconded red lamp light comes on. Is there a solution?

Your lamp is defective, incorrectly installed, or the cooling fan under the lamp is not cooling the lamp for some reason. Service that area.

Mitsubishi WD 52525 lamp replaced, no picture, red light

You have to take the TV apart. Pull the electrical chassis out and look for bad electrolytic caps on the boards. The red LED probably means the 2 - 3300UF caps on the power supply board are bad. You can tell if they are bad by the fact that their tops are puffed up and they may or may not be leaking brown fluid. Compare them against the other caps on the boards and you will see how they have flat tops.

BUT before you take the TV apart you can check the error codes by pushing "menu" and "Device" at the same time and holding for about 10 seconds. The status light will blink two numbers. ex. one flash pause two flashes is 12 Error Code Probable Cause

12 No error detected
22 Recovery from momentary Reset
32 Lamp Cover open
33 Air Filter Cover open
34 Lamp abnormality
35 Chassis Fan failure
36 Exhaust (Back Cover) or Lamp Ballast Fan failure
37 Engine (DMD or Lamp) Fan failure
38 Excess Lamp Temperature
39 Excess DMD Temperature
41 Short Detected
44 DVI Cable (between Chassis and Engine) disconnected

You can buy replacement caps from Mouser electronics online. There are plenty of solutions detailing how to do this already posted.

Mitsubishi WD-52525, replaced bulb but still not working

SYMPTOM: Power LED does not stop blinking after plug in.
CURE: Check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 uFD, 16V, 105C) on the DM PCB.
Check C8F19, C8F21, C8F22 and C8F27 (1000 uFD, 16V, 105C) on the FMT PCB.
If any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C).
this is what we at the shop check first. it is quite common. on the power supply board look for swelled up capacitors

Replaced bulb in Mitsubishi WD-52525 and it still does not work

Press the input/device button and the menu button at the same time. Green LED will blink a two digit code blink 1st digit short pause blink 2nd digit longer pause and repeat. Any number of problems can cause this same symptom.

If the red LED your refering to is the Status LED and not the Lamp LED then you have big problems. A red Status LED indicates no communication from the Format board to the DMD board (light engine). 1/2 the time caps on the format board itself the other 1/2 must send entire electronics package to Mitsubishi.
