My American Audio MCD-510 CD Player has a buzzing sound with and without audio plugs installed. Do I need to replace the power unit. If so where can I buy this in the Glasgow area

It will be best to contact any service technician at your area. This is an advanced unit, having sophisticated circuit and fittings. The buzzer sounds indicates something wrong with its main system control circuit. Even an experienced service technician too might take some time to locate the faulty section, and damaged components. Never plug the instrument to AC mains, till this fault is rectified. It might make things more worse. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. What do i need for a computer to start burning or to creat a cd/mp3/dvd .

First you need music to put on the CD. You can put your own music CD in the drive and run Windows Media Player and rip them to your hard drive (copies them). After you get all the songs you want onto your hard drive, you can make an audio CD if you ripped the songs as WAV files (this CD can be played in most CD players) or you can make an MP3 CD if you ripped the songs as mp3 files (this CD can only be played in CD players that support the MP3 standard). To make the audio CD or MP3 CD, just download the free program called BurnAware from the internet and run it. Insert a blank recordable CD in your computer, choose Audio CD or MP3 CD, then choose the songs you want and burn the CD. That's it.

Tray #1 won't read cd most of the time

Hello
Insert a lens cleanig disc into the device and play it at least three times. If the fault is due to any dirt or dust accumulated on lasser pickup lens, thei will rectify the problem. If this does not help you, the laser pickup lens unit of your device should be replaced with same type and number. The lens cleaning disc can be bought from most of the electronic sparepart shops at your town, and won't cost more. OK.

Not play all cds

It says online that it only plays the file types: .WMA and .MP3 If they are different then the ones listed here when you put your CD into your computer (explore the disk to view the files), then chances are they are incompatible. A solution would be to:
1.) Use a different media device (mp3 player, etc...)
2.) You can download the songs (as long as you have the original disk legally), make sure they are either WMA or MP3 files and reburn them.

Hope I answered you question! :)

Hello Mr. Varghese,

Your LG dvd player's lens might need cleaning. It is having a hard time reading those cds that is why it sometimes skips or just stops in the middle of playing them. Does this happen also to new cd's? Sometimes cleaning those cds helps the lens reading them.

If you have a disk cleaner, you can run that for 30 seconds on your player. It that does not help, then you might need to open your DVD player's casing and clean the lens manually by opening your player, get a soft cotton earbud and damp in an alcohol and gently wipe your dvd's lens. Then try to return back everything and test playing cd.

DVD player repairing

Double-check your DVD player's user manual/spec sheet to see if it plays Mp3 format files at all. Find out, specifically what kind it can read.

If your Mp3 disc is a DATA CD instead of an AUDIO CD, then nothing besides a computer is going to play it.
