Hey Yoo,

Go to Radio shack and get you an adapter that will take an earphone jack and convert it to RCA male.  You use this to simulate the signal coming from the reciever.  Hook up to a Cd player or Walkman, anything with an earphone output jack. Test that the device actually puts out music or anything worth listening to.  Connect the device to the input of your amp, with the car running, and the reciever turned on.. This will tell yo if the signal is getting from the reciever to the amp. You may not be getting signal from the head unit.

If you still get no sound to the woofers, dsisconnect the woofers and try a different speaker.  If that speaker dont work,  Change setting and switches., and if you still get no sound, then your amp is toast.

Why dont I get sound from my speakers but the radio works

If you have an equaliser, check that you havent accidentally pressed the button which switches between the main input and aux or bluetooth. Right, if you have aftermarket sound system, check that your RCA's/(look like av cables) arent unplugged broken off or damaged. Another thing is to see if the amps come on (usually shown on amp by a green light) red if not on. Check the power wire from the battery to amp, check if fuse is not blown. Ground the amps properly for the amps to come on and check that the power cable is connected properly as well. Another fault could be blown speakers.

It is getting power to the amp but the light is not coming on. is it blown or is it just a fuse blown inside?

The amp itself has a fuse. Thats the first thing I would check, if not it could be a bad or loose ground.
Good Luck!

The amp is done and it is going to need servicing. Most likely the magnetron has burnt out

I honestly don't have a solid answer for you. I can say check your fuses. Check your battery to amp wire. And also check your ground. Make sure the fuse on your amp is also not blown

All wires are hooked up but no lights come on, is

Hi Wex,

Wires being hooked up is fine. With no lights coming on the question becomes one of power.

Ground needs to be grounded.
+12VDC should have +12VDC
Remote should also have +12VDC when the stereo is on.

Check these with a volt meter. Negative lead on the ground terminal, Positive on +12V then Remote.

Both combinations should read +12VDC.

Next check the fuses if any that your amp has. Make sure they aren't blown.

Comment back if this doesn't point you in the right direction.

Rockford Fosgate T15004 The Amp still powers up with the

Check you inputs to verify you have a signal coming in, if signal then check outputs try a speaker that you know is working and plug it in if that speaker plays then the subs/ or speaker wiring is bad, if it doens't play then you probably have a blown output transistor on the amp or possibly a terminal ground/positive has come loose on the inside..

Pioneer GM-7200M 800 Watt Amp shut off and wont turn back on.....

Hiya, first check by triggering or powering the amp manually by putting a voltage at the trigger. Just use a jumper from power. If the amp comes on then check the feed from head unit. Loose wire, inline fuse near the head etc.

If it still doesn't come on the hate to say its gonna have to go in for repair. Could be anything inside from protection, blown track etc.

Hope that helps

SUBWOOFER NOT WORKING?

if you have real old wires from the amp to the sub try getting new wires on it. check the little wires that go to the cone itself on the sub. sometimes they can manage to get pulled out of their terminals and make sure that thier touching the terminals on the correct spot
