Question about Oritron DVD600 DVD Player

Hook dvd to tv with direct tv dvr

I am unable to hook up my Oritron 650 DVD player to my TV with direct tv DVR. I am using an RF modulator but still can not get the DVD player to work. I do not have the manual for the DVD player and have not been able to find it online. The DVR manual does not show you how to hook up other equipment. Please help! Thank you!

Not hooking up a computer, just dvd recorder, no other hook up ports on tv, just cable jack, dvr will not come in on any ststion

Does the DVD player have an RF out if it does then put antenna cable on RF in connection port on DVD recorder and purchase another antenna cable to go between DVD RF out to TV antenna in.
Then manually tune a TV channel to the channel frequency that the DVD outputs on.

Have older tv, cable ready only. Hooked dvr to it...cable in dvr then to tv, but cant get setup to come in on any station. Tried both E1 & E2, get nothing

You will need to manually tune a new program channel in to the frequency that the DVD outputs at. It will tell you the frequency it is in the DVD manual. It will be Analogue TV rather than Digital TV option on TV so you need to tune in an analogue channel manually. Also make sure you use an antenna cable at 75 ohms impedance rather than a video cable. They look exactly the same but electronically they are quite different and a video cable will not work from RF out DVD player to RF Antenna In on TV.

We just purchased a Samsung TV, and have been using a RCA DVD/VCR player/recorder, Model#: DRC8295N, Serial#: XXXXXXXXX We have Direct TV and before the new tv was using one of their DVR player/recorders....

The problem with your DVD/VCR is that when you hooked up your new TV you probably removed the power cord for the DVD/VCR during installing and running your new wires and such.

Your DVD/VCR has known problems in the power supply. This is very common. When unplugged, this allowed the capacitors to discharge and now wont work at all. It is very possible that if you left your DVD/VCR plugged into the AC wall socket it might begin to work after a couple of days. I wouldn't plan on it though.

Your DVD/VCR will need power supply repairs. The cost should be around $100 dollars.
if you would like one of our stores to repair this for you we would be happy.

please visit http:www.albiontvandcomputer.com
You can send us the unit and we can repair this for you and return in about a week.

Cannot tape on vcr with new dvd-vcr player

You need to route the signal from the cable modulator to the DVR and then to the TV to be able to view and record. If this is done you will be able to watch what you are recording. When you are not recording, the signal will go through the DVR to the TV.
Please change the cabling and you should have what you want.

I just had directv hooked up, I have a dvr receiver, I was told I did not have enough hook ups on the back of my tv, so therefore, I went and bought a switch or combiner. Now, how do I need to run the...

Newer directv hd receivers must connect to the av input (yellow, red, white) connections on the back/front/side of your tv. If your tv only has one of these av inputs then you will need an RF modulator for your dvd player. You will connect the (yellow, red, white) connections from the dvd player to the rf modulator and then connect the tv out on the rf modulator to the tv rf jack ( the silver threaded barrel on the back of the tv) Tune your tv to channel 3 to watch a dvd and then back to the av input channel for the directv receiver.

Can't record from tv to dvd

I think you would have to run your sat line through the DVR-1600 first (Line In) then connect directly from the DVR to one of your TV Line-Ins (Audio R, Audio-L, S-Cable Video).
And then use the Cyberhome TV Tuner to record off your sat.
