Question about Philips 50PP9202 50" Rear Projection Television
When the tv was first turned on, the picture would be small in the center of the screen. After about 3-5 minutes, it would go to full size. Now it will not come in at all. No picture and no sound but power light is on.
Your original problem was/is an "opto" IC (chip),which causes the power supply to regulate low when it fails. It is a 6 or 8 pin chip. Sounds as if maybe more has failed now. Switch mode power supplies are not for the faint of heart,or DIY. I recommend having it troubleshot by a tech.
