This problem has been going on quite a while. Yhe dishwasher does have water in it, it has not completed the wash cycle and drained it. M # 665.15979990, St # 15979, Se # FJ3402944

Tested the door switch with an ohm meter and found a closure with door closed and an open with it open. Tried several times opening and closing and found the same result. When lock on led is flashing just grabbing the handle as if to open the door stops the flashing and when released flashing restarts.

I have turned the power back on to the dishwasher and the red lock on led flashes. I tried pressing and holding the NO HEAT DRY button that has the lock symbol on it but it did nothing. Next tried pressing the WATER HEAT & NO HEAT DRY keys, do not see keys labeled HIGH TEMP & HEAT DRY. No other led's came on after pressing this sequence of keys. Tried this several times. I believe they are the correct keys to be pressing. If not please advise.

The flashing lock light problem might be caused by a stuck key on the touch panel console.
If the control board detects that a key is stuck, then the dishwasher will suspend operation until the key is unstuck. If a key without a light is stuck or multiple keys are stuck, the control will flash the Lock light.
The way to fix this is to replace the touch panel console.

look for the lock symbol, it should be on the heated dry pad. Press and hold it until the lock led turns off. if that doesn't do it, press the keys in this order..high temp-heated dry-high temp-heated dry. All lights should light and it will go into the test mode. Advance it through the test mode by pressing start until it finishes.
please rate my suggestion..........

if you've made sure the control panel isn't locked-out by holding the No Heat Dry button for 4 seconds, also try pushing it 4 times.

Then if that didn't work, its your control panel thats bad.It should be replaced..

Hi I am Vortash it sounds very much like the actual door lock switch is either faulty ( the switch that tells the machine programer the door is shut and allows the cycle to start ) or the programer itself has a fault and is not recieving the signlal . I think the latter from what you say the machine cools ( programer ) and it opperates for a while till fault re occurs in the programmer and stops the cycle because it says the door has been opened .and that is after you unplug it for a while .. if it did it all the time I would have thought lock switch .. but I am thinking you need a new programmer or at least that one repaired .. cheapest thing to try first is a new door switch to see if it cures the problem .. regards Vortash

To start turn control on off position. Trip the circuit breaker or unplug the power cord and connect everything back.
If that reset the machine then the problem had been just temporary.

If that did not work, then proceed with some basic troubleshooting, checking if there is water inside the machine, checking and unblocking the drain hose, unblocking drain pump hose, and if cycle starts checking if water is getting inside the machine from inlet valve. Also ensure that the inlet hose is not kinked, and that water is flowing with pressure from the water supply at the back.

If that does not help , then you start the real troubleshooting and repair.

In that case let me know the make and model, getting model number printed on service tag would be better.

It tries to start but then the start light keeps flashing

Hello John Schmader - Sounds like the washer could be experiencing a communication error with main control board, faulty door lock assembly, pump or the timer itself is not operating correctly. Is the unit making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose or pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned. Does the washer display an error code? Try pressing and holding the START and PAUSE/CANCEL button simultaneously. All LED's will go blank and after a few seconds the control will signal the stored code using audible beeps and blinking LED's. The control will repeatedly signal the code, as long as the START and PAUSE/CANCEL buttons are pressed. A two second pause between repeats affords you the ability to make accurate counts to identify an error (if one displays).

Display shows E0 F2 after pressing start and cancel at same time. No other buttons work. Stovetop still works.

F2-E0 - Shorted Touch Pad (Keypad) - Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure.
Select the 'cancel' function and wait 60 seconds.
If error code reappears then replace the touch pad, or touch pad and control board (clock) if all one assembly.

What does the sign "control lock" mean?

Here is what the manual for your oven says about control lock.

Let me know if you have questions.

    Control Lock
The Control Lock shuts down the control panel pads to prevent
unintended use of the oven(s). The Control Lock will remain set
after a power failure, if set before the power failure. The only time
it is not available is during the Sabbath Mode or Self-Clean cycle.
When the control is locked, only the TIMER SET · START, TIMER
function. On double oven models, CLOCK SET · START will also
The Control Lock is preset unlocked, but can be locked.
To Lock/Unlock Control: Press and hold CONTROL LOCK for
about 3 seconds, until “CONTROL LOCK” and a picture of a lock
appear on the display. Repeat to unlock and remove “CONTROL
    LOCK” from the display.

    Waste ink aborber

you can see it and partially clean it without striping the printer down, but after taking the printer top off you can give the whole area a good clean.
The tank is the little plastic tray to the right of the carridge, its about 1cm x 2 and a half and has an absorbant pad inside it held in by delicate rubber wings, the pad can be taken out and a metal plates sits below which can also be removed revealing a small tube throught which ink passes.
You can strip all of this out and clean or just give a quick wipe out with cotton buds without dismanteling too much.
    I would recomend that if you have the time and patience then at least do the following;
Take the absorbant pad out and keep patting it on kitchen roll etc until no more in comes off, then gently clean around the rest of the tank with cotton buds, this should be enough cleaning to keep everything happy!
The worst you can do is be a touch to rough and knock the small spring out of place that sits under the tank (you will feel this spring as you prod at the tank) the spring is a pain to get back in place!

Try this to reset the error.

    1) Close the print head cover, and turn off the printer. While pressing the Resume/Cancel button, press the Power button. (Do not release the buttons. The LED lights in green to indicate that a function is selectable.)

    2) While holding the Power button, release the Resume/Cancel button. (Do not release the Power button.)

    3) While holding the Power button, press the Resume/Cancel button three times, and then release the Power and Resume/Cancel buttons. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in either orange or green, starting with orange.) During initialization, the LED blinks in green.

    4) When the LED stops blinking and lights in green, press the Resume/Cancel button the 4 times. (Each time the Resume/Cancel button is pressed, the LED lights alternately in either orange or green, starting with orange.)

    5) Press the Power button. The LED lights in green, and the
selected function is performed. (When the operation completes, the printer returns to the menu selection mode automatically.)

    6) Power off then back on and test.

F9 Code after power outage - Model JGR8855ADS

Try unplugging the oven from the electrical power. May release the lock, which is held in place by a tiny micro switch. If not and while the electric is still off or the oven is unplugged, use a bright light flashlight to look through the slot where the lock is in the oven, not in the door.

You may be able to use a thin blade screwdriver to move the lock to the release position. Check the angle of the lever. A slightly bent lever handle also can cause this type of condition.

If all else fails, remove the access panel on the front of the oven to access the locking device and release it. May have to disconnect the wires to the lock which will allow door to function but not during any self cleaning modes.
