Question about Panasonic 900 MHz Cordless Phone

1 Answer

Can't hear the callers! (Some times better than others.)

Volume too low for me and for others who have used the phone. Panasonic console with cordless phone. The receiver (cordless) seems to be the problem. I (and other users) have to ask people to repeat quite often. Sound is often distant even if the other phone is just a couple of blocks away. My cell phone is fine, but this is a problem. Panasonic brand. Purchased 15-20 years ago. Everything else seems to be okay. Just hard to hear.

There have been infinite advances in cordless phone technology in the last 15 or 20 years. Since 20 years is a long time to have a phone, I would suggest replacing it with a new one. But, no matter how good your phone is, today's urban environments are a communication nightmare because of all the variable obstacles which can get in the way of radio wave propagation. The only solution appears to be a cellular phone whose systems are improving all the time to offer increasingly reliable service. But the cost of cellular is so high that some people have compared it to legalized organized crime; they know we need their service and they can charge whatever they want. I love my cordless phone, but even with all the modifications and improvements I have made, it is still severely limited. My only option has been to use my cellphone to remain mobile and this link has made the cost a lot more palatable: (http://www.3centcell.ca/admin/affiliate.aspx?314 )
I hope this is helpful to you.

Low volume once call is established

Hi,

Try and locate where the volume control of the phone is so that when your making calls, immediately the caller your calling picks up the call, increase the volume by the side of the phone.I think you will hear your caller clearer.

Take care.

Incoming callers cannot hear me very well

Since there is no volume adjustment for outgoing volume with the Navigator key, that's possible.

Go find another handset from another system phone and test it, or just move to another phone and see if they can hear you better.
You could have a bad handset, bad cord (unlikely), bad phone, or bad circuit for that line or call.

Almost al of these items are repairable or replacable.
