Question about Mitsubishi WD-62525 62" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Static noise and screen does not turn on

Pressing Menu Key + another Key ! flashes 4times , silence, 2 times. then this repeats itself . I have talked to the service center they said; it is either 1- lamp 2- balast 3- fan. any suggestion; where can I buy parts? is there any service manual online (pdf)? I appreciate any help I can get ! Bruce .hmmessage P { margin:0px; padding:0px } body.hmmessage { font-size: 10pt; font-family:Verdana } When I push the power on manually, the right speaker (as I face the screen) makes a static noise. When I turn it off, the lamp light flashes for a minute until the tv stops 'breathing' (fan turns off?), then the light turns off. There is a 'system reset' written on the front (not a button) with a spot under it that looks like it would be a light. Possibly something that functions only with a remote, though the remote doesn't have any system reset option. Nothing occurs on the screen during any of this.

You can get the replacement oarts at the following link. The item that says reset on the front of the set is actually a pin hole button. Press a toothpick or similar item into the small hole and hold for a second that will reset the TV. Then hold Menu and device both in together and recheck the error code as 42 isnt a vaildi code for that model

Call Ghostbusters. Sounds like you've got ectoplasmic interference from beyond the veil? Any recent deaths of friends, family, anyone close to you? Someone is obviously trying to tell you something. Think about this carefully: it may seem random, but are there any patterns or repeated sequences that you can discern in the turning off and on? Is it rapid and continuous, or intermittent and with large gaps in between the next event? Is there any accompanying background sound, perhaps an amalgam of several sources, white noise, or simply silence? Does the screen go immediately blank? Fade slowly into blackness? Does it flash before it turns off? If so, how many times? Look carefully, does the screen go completely black or can you see what appears to be a white dot remaining after all the rest of the power is gone, remaining for sometime without any source of electricity. Run these basic checks/questions and get back to us asap., I have friends who specialize in this sort of soft paranorm who would probably be willing to help you outl. But the key is NOT to let the events/situation escalate.....keep calm and maintain a composed, relaxed atmosphere. And I wouldn't advise allowing any pets or small children in the room or anywhere near the tv until we figure this out. Get back to us when you can.

And as always: good luck!

Lost key fob how to turn off alarm?

You'll need the PIN number.
If you don't know it, you'll have to change it to a 5 digit PIN number you select.

With the fob present, turn IGN switch:
IGNITION-OFF-IGNITION-OFF-IGNITION
Press LEFT turn signal switch 3 TIMES
Press RIGHT turn signal switch 1 TIME and release
Turn signals will flash 3 times. Current PIN will appear in odometer. The first digit will be flashing.

If changing PIN, enter first digit (a) of new PIN by pressing LEFT signal switch (a) time(s) i.e., for the number 1, press one time. for the number 5, press 5 times.

Press RIGHT signal switch 1 TIME and release.
the new digit (a) will replace the current in odometer window.

Enter second digit (b) with LEFT signal switch.

Repeat until PIN is set.

Once PIN is set (either new or old PIN), to disarm security system, DO NOT sit on seat, lift bike off kick stand, or anything else that will activate the security mode!

Turn IGN to IGNITION.

Quickly (within 2 seconds) hold BOTH turn signal switches until confirmation signal (KEY icon flashes at fast rate, in odometer window, a flashing "-" will be followed by 4 more dashes = "----")

Enter 1st digit (a) in PIN by pressing LEFT turn signal switch (a) times (i.e., 5 times for the number 5)
The 1st "-" will become the 1st digit (i.e., "5")

Press RIGHT switch signal 1 TIME.
The 1st digit is stored and the dash will flash.

Enter 2nd digit (b), and repeat sequence until done.

After the 5th digit is entered, the KEY icon stops blinking, and the system is disarmed.

The system will stay off until the IGN switch is turned off.

If at any time during disarming sequence an error is made, wait 2 minutes before trying again.

Reset the BIOS on a Compaq server 740 jumpers settings

Don,t do that insatead:
Entering the BIOS Setup menu Entering the BIOS Setup menu requires pressing a specific key at a specific time. If you fail to enter the Setup menu on your first try, repeat the following steps until you are successful:
  1. Close all applications that are currently running and restart the computer by clicking Start , Shut Down , Restart the Computer , and then OK .
  2. When the red Compaq logo or blue HP logo screen appears, press the F10 key on the keyboard to enter the Setup menu.

NOTE: An alternate to the above steps, especially if the logo screen disappears too quickly to enter BIOS, is to shut down (turn off) the computer. Wait 30 seconds, turn the power on and press F10 or F1 at the logo screen. Reloading the default settings Complete the following steps to reload the factory installed BIOS Setup settings:
  1. In the BIOS Setup utility, select the Exit tab.
  2. Select Load Setup Defaults .
  3. Select Save Changes and Exit (pressing F5 and the Enter key will also load the Setup Defaults).
  4. Press Esc and then Enter to exit Setup.

Why doesn't paper feed after "print" instruction? Printer merely makes a mechanical noise and states "paper out" condition.

Hello.

There are lots of reasons why this would happen:

Foreign object (could be very tiny)

Any power lights flashing ?

Paper feed rollers may need cleaning - try (from Canon Support):

1. Ensure that the printer is turned on. If any paper is loaded in the printer, remove it.

2. Select which roller to clean, the auto sheet feeder's or cassette's, by pressing the <Paper Feed> switch on the printer.

3. Hold down the <Resume/Cancel> button; when the Power lamp flashes green three times, release the button. The paper feed roller will rotate as it cleans itself.

4.. Repeat step 3 twice.

5. Load three or more of A4 or letter sized plain paper in the auto sheet feeder or cassette, as selected in step 2.

6. Repeat step 3. The paper that is loaded in the printer will be fed through the printer and ejected.

7. If printing problems persist, repeat step 6 up to three times.

Could be a hardware error and the printer would need servicing - still under warranty ?? If so, return to Canon for repair or replacement.

Hope this helps.

Frozen screen when turned on

Kevin, Hmm... it worked fine the first two times you ran it, then all of a sudden it freezes at the user screen?? I'm not sure if your able to do this, but at the user menu, try pressing the (-)zoom out key and the repeat button a the same time. -If it does bring up the "secret" menu, try clearing user data. -If you have a program that allows you to update the software, version 4.32 I'm guessing (or 5.14) then at that "secret" menu select NAND Flash Format and re-load the software. If you can't access the "secret" menu and it locks up hard at the user menu w/out any responsiveness, I would suspect the hard drive is either bad or has corrupt data. I'm not sure if you can order just the hard drive from magellan/thales/tomtom/shaw but if you can then just replace the hard drive, nand flash format (above) and re-install your software via usb. Additionally, not that it helps your problem, but atleast you would know the pwr and keypad work if this works, press Enter, Cancel and power button at the same time, as this SHOULD power off your unit. Let me know if any new symptoms/problems come up or if you need further instructions. -Daniel
