Question about Vehicle Parts & Accessories
I have a 2007 Toyota Tacoma. I have put in new fog lights, wired in with the mirrors for power. The truck will not start now. It turns over and that is it. The alarm will not engage/disengage now, and the imobilizer seems to be on. We also found a button in the ashtray spot (or what should be the ashtray,it is just a compartment) and have now pressed it a bunch, I don't know if it is for the alarm. Any help?
Have you tried to disconnect the negative from the battery? If not do that and the positive cable. With both disconnected touch them for 15 seconds; that will drain any remaining power in the system and hopefully reset the system. If not then it may have an aftermarket alarm system that needs to be unistalled and or fixed.
