I have a HP iPAQ hx2000 which I am trying to use with a PalmOneUniversal Wireless Keyboard. I have installed the keyboard driver and ActiveSync 4.0 Connectivity Software, but get the message as follows:
ActiveSunc encountered a problem on the desktop. Support Code: 85010014.

Have you tried using an SD card? The hx2000 is supposed to support SD cards and CompactFlash Type II memory cards. If it doesn't respond, it's possible that your second-hand device simply has a faulty card slot.
Try taking out battery and plug in power. If it works, battery is faulty. If not, Try taking out your hard disk plug in power, if it works, hard disk is faulty. If not, Try taking out memory card, if there's a sound, memory card faulty. If no sound, it's your motherboard that is causing the error.
Note: If machine is under warranty no need to pay for the repairs.
I had to install several updates on my H5550 to get the wireless to work. You need firmware 1.10.10 to start with (the latest version), then there are several wireless firmware updates, and a wireless driver you need to install. I can´t remember what these were off the top of my head, but it might help point you in the right direction.
If you do not have the CD that came with the key board you can go to there web site and get them from there altrnativly if you look in side program files on your hard drive and find the folder that IPaq is in you may find the files for your hardwear there failing all that if you have windows XP OR Windows Vista just disconect your keyboard turn of your PC and start you pc without your keyboard pluged in when you hear a bleep plug your key board into the USB port and you PC will recognise your hardwear and find the information that it needs to start up your keyboard
For use with TTN you'll need the following:
-A GPS mouse (either wired or wireless if you have bluetooth on your ipaq)
-Memory card (usually Secure Digital of Compact Flash) to store the differents maps on it.
It's also recommended to have a card reader on your pc to transfer the maps on the expansion card.
Good luck and let me know if it works out or not
