Problem for Adobe InDesign CS2 for PC
Adobe InDesign CS2 serial number invalid
I install the programm successfully and when I open it the window appears my name and organization and i completed except that my serial number is invalid the serial number printed on the cd pack was I used to install and it has no problem until I open the program. When I re-enter the said serial number, it response like this, "The serial number you provided is not valid. Please check your serial number and re-enter it." I follow the instructions but yet still the same response. What I'm going to do that it is not my fault.
Please help me, it is badly needed!!!!

- OMG that is the same **** they are telling me!I have been through H--- with them as well. I purchased Adobe CS2 in 2005 from Staples. I have recently upgraded to CS4 and sold my CS2. I do the "legal" thing by filling out the "Transfer of License" form and faxing it to Adobe in April. Then they say they never got it. I get another case number and send it back to them. Suddenly there is an issue with the serial number! It mysteriously sells itself back to Adobe so there is no way I can transfer a number that I no longer own! This was never mentioned or an issue in April, but now in May it is. I have gone around and around with the nonspeaking/understanding foreigners and I am ticked!
I think it is a scam of theirs by trying to force us to buy a new version. On top of it all the last CSR I spoke with says, "also we no longer support CS2". Well isn't that convenient.

- I have the software and it is a full version that I paid full price for. Mine is also invalid. Adobe told me they cannot help becuase my version is too old but i can upgarde to CS4. If it still doesnt work they said they can issue a new serial number, but they cannot issue a new serial number for my old version. Im starting to think adobe automatically disables these from working after a period of time so that they force you to upgrade. What are your thoughts on this? - GuestApr 05, 2009

First check and see if your "Caps Lock" is on?
Be absolutely sure that you are entering the registration code EXACTLY as printed, Use CAPITOL LETTERS as printed, and lower case letters as required.
If it still won't work...
Call the company that makes the program and explain the situation, have a magnifying glass handy to read the tiny engraved lettering in the center of the CD disk.
If you have some kind of sales receipt, or other "Proof of Purchase" have it handy too.
You will need to tell them, you do not have the program installed on other computers.
They can create a new product key for you.
This method will only work if you have a legal copy of the program.

Is the software an upgrade, or a full version? Where and when did you buy this? Software manufacturers are always very helpful to genuine customers. Are you a genuine customer? If so, just call Adobe.

I paid a fortune for legitimate versions of CS2 and Dreamweaver Suite for download. I now cannot download them on a new PC (my old one crashed) as they are a few years old. Adobe took nearly £2000 off me four years ago and I will NEVER pay for software ever again from them. Utter thieves.
