Question about Canon Cameras
I look 5000 photos and then hit the format button when I was trying to download the photos to my computer. Now, it's says no image. I have a canon Powershot A650 IS and the memory card I used is a SanDisk Ultra II S 2GB. Please let me know how to retrive my photos? Help! Thanks,
You pressed format on your camera. That meant that you formatted the memory card of your camera. All your photos are saved on the memory card of your digital camera automatically. So you can recover photos from formatted memory card with data recovery software.I have a professional program on my computer that can recover data after deeply scanning your memory card to look for lost data you accidentally deleted or formatted.
But you had better have stopped using the memory card of your camera. Because, once the pictures were overwritten by new ones, they are gone for good.
By the way,you can download it and scan your memory card for free to preview whether your erased photos can be recovered.Get it from http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/datarecoverystandard.htm

Well, don't panic! Nowadays, the formatting
process will not actually erase all the contained data on a camera memory card
as we think. The deleted data is still there and becomes invisible. So, act
carefully to get these deleted data back:
1. Stop using this camera memory card right now in case that any new file on it may overwrite your deleted data.
2. Connect this camera to your computer.
3. Download a camera memory card data recovery freeware to retrieve all your lost data back for free:
This professional data recovery freeware has helped many people around me restore their inaccessible data off from a phone/camera memory card or hard drive. It could be a good choice for you to go on.
Try to read more detailed information of this camera memory card data recovery freeware here:
4. Do not save or back up all the restored data on the same memory card in case of any data loss.
Next time, you should be more careful about your important data and always back it up well.

Format, it cleans out the memory and marks it empty / free, your only chance at recovering your pictures is to use a file recovery program on your computer with the card connected to your computer.
File scavenger should be able to recover the files (recover the pictures into to your hard drive instead into the memory, if you recover pictures from the memory into the same memory you will lose most of the data, you must recover it to another location.)
try the demo before buying the program, the demo should be able to find the pictures but it wont recover them. if you can't find any pictures from the card its useless to buy the program.
