Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I need to dismantle my huge broken tv to get it down stairs. It was unbelievable what we did to get it up and not about to do that again. Is it safe to take the mirror out and take the extra box off the back? Thanks, Steve

Hi

You would need to remove the front screen to access the optics and mirror. Since the projection tubes face upwards, they are probably the most in need of cleaning since the mirror is angled forward and is less apt to need it. There should be a number of screws holding the front panel in place either on the side or around the outside edge of the back.

Some projection televisions you can remove the front plastic framing that secures the screen to the case. The only televisions I noticed that can come apart are projection televisions 65" or larger and they only split top to bottom. Please check this link for more information.

Please do accept the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

you should be fine as long as you don't drop it of course. you and turn and twist it any which way but id say measure the height of the tv because at some point you will have the top and bottom of the tv touching 2 different walls if im not mistaken
