You won't believe this! After trying all drivers on MSI Site, reinstall the proper driver and restart laptop.

Press the P1 button on the top right hand corner (near the power, wifi, internet, etc button) and Windows does the found new hardware sound.

Open the application and your done!

Another problem less :)

Hi, to activate the webcam, you should press the P2 button, not P1 button. :)

I have NEC Versa S5500 and Os is WindowsXP.
1. Download all drivers from NEC official website. You have to choose your Product and Model Series. (There is 2 drivers are important to solve your web-cam problem. SCM Shortcut Key Utility for XP and AveoCap Camera Software)
2. Then start to install the AveoCap. But when you install or modify you need to put the AveoCap Application. There it will ask you "appliance" check box. Just click on it for application. Go "Next" and finish it.
3. Next step, you have to install SCM Shortcut Key Utility (Drivers_Utility_SCMSetup_Ver1.79.30_XP.exe). It will restart your machine.
4. Then you can push P2 button. It will show your Camera icon from system tray. Also you can go to My Computer and there you will see the USB Video Device icon.
That is ALL.
Best,
Phuchit

same problem with my NEC Versa S5500 AveoCap. When i clicked on it, "you have no video capture device" appeared.

Comment by Fennec, posted on Jan 05, 2008

Yup - I have a NEC Versa S3300 with built-in webcam with AveoCap / Aveo Cam STI, running on Vista Home.

Since I updated Windows and install some software, my webcam regularly 'crash' and is not recognized anymore by any application. I have to restart my computer to have the Webcam usable again.

Any solution (software or hardware) is welcome...
