Question about Dryers
The Maytag Neptune (model MDG3000AWW) gas dryer will not start after running. The dryer was purchased in 1998. If you wait 4-5 hours between cycles it will start and function like normal. When attempting to start the dryer after it ran it sounds like it wants to start and there is an electrical overheating smell.
HI, Your motor is going bad. It is overheating and the overload safety will not let it start. The motor cost is about $140.00
