Question about RCA DRC277 DVD Player
This particular DVD player has different HDMI audio settings on the menu. There is a setting for Auto, PCM, and None (I think). By default it should be set to Auto which should work for most people. But if you have a finicky receiver or TV set, you might want to manually select PCM.

There might be a setting in your tv's audio menu to enable your audio source, which is now hdmi (vs. the rca-type red and white audio cables). Once you select the type of audio you are using, the audio, you should hopefully be able to get sound from your dvd player now.
