Question about Dell Inspiron 6000 Notebook
I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop service tag J457381. When I ran the read test on SATA Disk, I get an error code 0F00:0244 on my . It says message block 145335935-uncorrectable data error or media is write protected. The given error code and message can be used by Dell technical Support to help diagnose the problem (at a dear cost of course). I'm running Windows XP Home edition Service Pack 2 which I reloaded into a different folder. Still no luck. I tried to fix boot. It may noises and said it could not be fixed. I would appreciate any help possible. I do have my startup discs available. Thanks! Janis from Georgia
Pleae reboot your system and when you see the Dell logo , press the F12 key a couple of times .
In the menu, select only HDD diagnostics and post the results back . If the harddrive fails, then the only solution would be to replace the same. If the hardrive passes , we may be able tp fix the system

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
